Cricket South Africa has announced awards for the year 2023. The governing body has revealed the winners of Player of the Year, Test Player of the Year, ODI Player of the Year, T20I Player of the Year and Player of the Season for this year.
Anrich Nortje was awarded as the Player of the Year award for his superlative performances in all three formats of the game. He also won big during the CSA awards in 2022. Nortje’s bowling partner Kagiso Rabada was given the Test Cricketer of the Year award after he set the stage on fire in the longest format of the game.
Temba Bavuma, who looked a class apart in ODIs of late, was awarded as Men’s ODI Player of the Year whereas Reeza Hendricks, who struck back-to-back half-centuries against West Indies, scalped the T20I Player of the Year award. Apart from these three awards, premier batter David Miller bagged the Player of the Season award.

Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki of South Africa congratulated all the players and pointed out that have seen a real improvement of all our national teams. He explained:
“On behalf of Cricket South Africa, I would like to congratulate all the winners on their awards. There were so many strong performances and outstanding candidates for awards over the past season; it really made the task of the judges exceptionally tough. We have seen a real improvement of all our national teams over the past season, the proof of which are in the results.”
