ICC WTC Final: After the two staggering editions of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), it’s time to move ahead to the third essay of the championship. The International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the fixtures of the ICC WTC (2023-25). The third edition will begin will with a much anticipated Ashes 2023 between England and Australia on 16th June. Each team will have three away and three home series and the final is slated to take in June 2025 at the home of cricket “Lord’s Cricket Ground”
ICC WTC Final: India schedule for the third edition of the World Test Championship (2023-25)
Talking about the Indian cricket team, they have reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) two consecutive times and would be hoping to complete a century. They lost the summit clash of the first edition against New Zealand and are currently facing Australia in the final of the ICC WTC Final 2023.
Talking about their fixtures for the next edition of the World Test Championship, they will be facing tough challenges as all their six series are against the top teams. The Indian team will host England, New Zealand and Bangladesh at home and will travel to West Indies, South Africa and Australia.
For them, the third edition of the World Test Championship will begin from the away series against West Indies in July this year. The Rohit Sharma-led side is slated to play two games in the Caribbean this year. After that, they will tour South Africa in December for two-Test series.
They are also scheduled to travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024-25. This time it’ll be five-Test series between the two cricketing giants. The schedule for the home series against England, New Zealand and Bangladesh is yet to be announced.
