With World Test Championship final around the corner, former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has named his combined India-Australia playing XI. There was no hesitation for him in picking captain as he picked Rohit Sharma as skipper over Pat Cummins. The Indian captain will open the innings alongside Usman Khawaja, who has been in terrific form.

At No.3 Ricky Ponting choose Marnus Labuschagne, who was followed by Virat Kohli and Steve Smith at No.4 and No.5 respectively. The trio has been the best batters going in Test cricket and have taken world cricket by storm with their heroics.

At No.5 he opted for Ravindra Jadeja and left out Cameron Green. Whereas Alex Carey is the wicketkeeper on his side. Ricky Ponting also didn’t choose R Ashwin as he went with his countrymen in Nathan Lyon as the spinner along with Ravindra Jadeja in the team.
