ICC WTC Points Table Updated after IND vs RSA 3rd Test: The two-match Freedom Test Series between India and South Africa ended in a draw, with both teams winning one game each. The Proteas dominated the Rohit Sharma-led side in the Boxing Day Test at Centurion, and in Cape Town, the Men in Blue bounced back in impressive fashion to defeat South Africa in the second test match. The second test match got over in just two days, as just 463 runs were scored and 33 wickets fell in the span of 2 days.
The Cape Town test match was all about the bowlers, as the seamers dominated the entire game. Mohammed Siraj took a six-wicket haul with figures of 6-15 next to his name as South Africa got all out for just 55 runs in their first inning. The Proteas bounced back in superb fashion as the trio of Kagiso Rabada (3-38), Lungi Ngidi (3-30), and Nandre Burger (3-42) wreaked havoc and dismissed the entire Indian batting unit for 153 runs.
However, South Africa didn’t bat well in their second inning, as no other batter except Aiden Markram (106 runs) was able to trouble the Indian bowling unit. Jasprit Bumrah took his ninth 5-wicket haul as he finished the 2nd inning with figures of 6-61 and was supported pretty well by Mukesh Kumar (2-56) as the Indian bowlers restricted the Proteas for 176 runs in their 2nd inning and the Men in Blue chased down a target of 79 runs easily and won the second test match comfortably by 7 wickets.
