IND vs AFG 3rd T20I: 2 Changes Team India can make in 3rd T20I against Afghanistan: With an aim to sweep Afghanistan in the three-match T20I series, Team India will lock horns against the Afghans on January 17, 2023, in Bengaluru. The third T20I between India and Afghanistan will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Team India convincingly won the first two games of the series held in Mohali and Indore respectively. The Men in Blue have managed to walk past Afghanistan in both the T20Is by six wickets owing to the team effort.

All-rounder Shivam Dube has been India’s key player in the first two games, scoring 123 runs at a strike rate of over 170. The left-arm batter scored 60 runs in the opening contest and supplemented it with another unbeaten 63 in the second game in Indore.

Dube’s performances have turned out to be a game-changer for the Indian team, who has been looking for a decent pace-bowling all-rounder, who could replace Hardik Pandya. Though it is too early to compare Shivam Dube with senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya, the former has shown enough substance to challenge the latter.

Besides Shivam Dube, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal also looked in great nick as he scored a fine half-century in the second game. Jaiswal scored 68 runs in 34 deliveries in Indore.

In the bowling department, it has been Axar Patel who has stood out from the rest so far. The spinner has scalped four wickets in two outings and was adjudged the ‘Player of the Match’ in the second game against Afghanistan. Besides him, young Arshdeep Singh has scalped three wickets followed by Shivam Dube, who has got two in his bag.

With the T20I series already under team India’s control, Rohit Sharma might look to enforce some changes into the playing11 and give chances to the players who have warmed benches so far.

Ravi Bishnoi hasn’t proved his worth so far in the ongoing T20I series and is likely to be replaced by Kuldeep Yadav. Bishnoi has only picked two wickets in the two games at an average of 37.

In another change, Team India could bench wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma and allow Sanju Samson during the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I. Jitesh Sharma has performed decently so far in the two games, but he hasn’t made an outrageous impact with the bat to seal his place in the team.

Sanju Samson has the ability to be a match-winner and his IPL stats are proof of that. However, the glovesman needs to prove himself again in the international stage.
