IND vs AUS 2nd T20I: India took a lead of 1-0 in a three-match T20I series against Australia. The first T20I was played at Visakhapatnam and now India will be aiming to seal the T20I series today in the second match at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. It was a rainy Saturday at Thiruvananthapuram and here in this post, we brought you the IND vs AUS 2nd T20I Rain Prediction, Weather Forecast, And Pitch Report Of Greenfield Stadium.

India, who had achieved their greatest successful T20I run-chase despite having a roster bereft of experience, obviously enter this match full of confidence. The sheer quality of Mukesh Kumar’s death bowling, the finishing prowess of Rinku Singh, and the collective effort of all players—including Yashasvi, Ishan Kishan, and skipper Suryakumar Yadav—was impressive, but more has to be done, particularly in terms of sprinting between the wickets. Up to three run-outs occurred in the opening game, which was a joint-high for India in the format.

At both ends of the chase, India were in trouble, particularly when Rinku Singh’s last-ball six gave the crowd a grin to remember, even if Sean Abbott’s no-ball deprived Rinku of that six. India almost ruffled their lines by falling from 194 for 4 to 208 for 8.

India will once more need to be cautious of this brittleness in the lower middle order, particularly considering that their batting finishes at No. 7 unless they alter their lineup.

Australia lost by two wickets, but Josh Inglis’s century off 47 balls and Jason Behrendorff’s economical performance with the ball—in which he skillfully used slower deliveries on a genuine batting surface—stood out. And the team would have departed Visakhapatnam with the knowledge that there wasn’t much separating the two teams—a match that might have easily gone their way. Ideally, they would like to land in Guwahati with a leveled series.

IND vs AUS 2nd T20I Pitch Report

There have only been three Twenty20 international matches played at Thiruvananthapuram, and the results show that it hasn’t been easy for teams batting first: 67 for 5 in an eight-over match, 170 for 7 on a slow field, and 106 for 8. Teams who chase have won, with the exception of the first game, which was cut short by weather. Given the likelihood of rain on Sunday, that could be the best course of action to bowl first.
