Ind vs Aus 2nd Test Playing 11s and Pitch Report

Ind vs Aus 2nd Test Playing 11s and Pitch Report: Australia have won the toss yet another time in the Delhi Test and have elected to bat first. Plenty of expected changes have taken place in the visitor’s Playing 11 and one genuine change on the home side.

Matthew Kuhnemann has earned his Baggy Green – cap number 466. Marnus Labuschagne, one of his Queensland teammates, hands him the cap. Another spinner is made his sub-continental debut for Australia.

The southpaw batsman Travis Head is back in the team in place of Renshaw. Travis Head has an excellent average of over 45 with 5 centuries and 12 half centuries.

Let’s take a look at Playing 11 and the pitch report:

Ind vs Aus 2nd Test: Playing 11s of India and Australia

Ind vs Aus 2nd Test: Pitch report

It seems better than the first Test, which is the initial impression. A two-faced surface, in which the spinners will be more successful, looks good in the middle but alters as you get near to the stumps. For now, it appears to be a Day 3 wicket with significant cracks that is in the spinners’ preferred area.

Nonetheless, the groundsmen claim that it is unlikely to break. Don’t be shocked if the seamers enter the game early because the surface is quite dry. Sanjay Manjrekar and Matthew Hayden consider it to be really excellent for batting first on Day 1.

Australia had a very good home summer prior to this tour, but they were completely outplayed in the first Test. The Australians did find a potential Nathan Lyon successor, nonetheless, as Todd Murphy, who made his debut, impressed with seven in his first innings.

Ind vs Aus 2nd Test: Who said what

Pat Cummins (Aus captain): It’s got a little bit of a rough. We have to bounce back and everyone is raring to go. Neither of those two [Starc and Green] is playing. Travis Head comes back for Renshaw.

Rohit Sharma (Ind captain): We’d have batted first as well. The pitch is dry, but I think the application we showed last game put the toss away from the game. You just have to come out and play good cricket, and that’s been the chat in the group to not worry about the toss. (On Pujara’s 100th Test) We are all thrilled for him, his family is here as well. 100 Test matches aren’t easy, there have been plenty of ups and downs in his career. One change for us – Shreyas Iyer is in for Surya.
