IND vs BAN 2nd Test: India is leading the ongoing two-match test series by 1-0 with a dominating performance in all sectors. Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh team was looking off-color in the first match but of course, they are not easy prey to hunt. We have witnessed their capabilities in the ODI series and they can give a good fight in the 2nd test.

IND vs BAN: Injuries and Squad Updates

Injury Update

In the first test match, we saw Shakib Al Hasan was unwell as he didn’t bowl in the 2nd innings which made a bad impact on his side’s bowling. Taskin Ahmed was missing the first match too due to some injury issue. Bangladesh were lacking on the batting side too, so they added a few more batting options to their squad like Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Mominul Haque.

Bangladesh bowling coach Allan Donald also informed that Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who did not bowl in the second innings in Chattogram due to a rib injury, is fit to roll his arm over in the final Test. He also added that pacer Taskin Ahmed will feature in the second Test.

Whereas India on the other hand is missing the regular captain Rohit Sharma, which is a huge blow for the Indian side. Jasprit Bumrah isn’t there, Shami misses out, and now his replacement Navdeep Saini is ruled out too. When it comes to loss due to injuries, India comes right on the top in recent times. Reports also confirmed that KL Rahul was hit in the elbow while net practice, but batting coach Rathour said that the injury was not serious although he did not confirm that the stand-in captain would play in the game.

BCCI officials informed us that Rohit Sharma is still recovering from that thumb injury he sustained in the IND vs BAN 2nd ODI. Meanwhile, Saini will miss the last game of the tour after sustaining an abdominal muscle strain. The right-arm pacer will soon report to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for further management of his injury.
