IND vs BAN: Watch Mohd Siraj sledge Bangladesh batter Najmul Shanto on Day 4 of 1st test: After successfully implementing sledging tactics in the 1st innings against Bangladesh batter Litton Das, Indian pacer Mohd Siraj was once again up to spice things up against opener batter Najmal Hossain Shanto in the fourth innings of the 1st test match. Siraj launched a verbal charge at Shanto on day four of the test to break his concentration soon after the batter completed his half-century.
When things looked pretty bleak for the Indian bowlers following a valiant century stand between two host openers – Shanto and Zakir Hasan – Siraj came up with his usual staring tactic to disrupt the concentration of the batter. In the 34th over of the fourth innings, after Shanto notched up his half-century, Siraj went close to Shanto and gave him a long glare.
But, unlike Litton Das, Shanto decided against heating up things and replied with a gentle smile.
Meanwhile, Mohd Siraj was up for a verbal battle as he walked upto the batter and exchanged a few words in the very next delivery. An over later, Siraj once again tried to disrupt Shanto’s concentration with his stare, but again the batter smiled back at the bowler and continued his fruitful partnership with Zakir Hasan.
As the duel between Shanto and Siraj continued, the batter pulled the third delivery of the over for a cracking boundary and brought up a 100-run opening stand.
Notably, during the second innings of the test match, Siraj had a go at Litton Das, who retaliated which resulted in a heated exchange of words. Due to a concentration lapse, Litton Das was dismissed by Siraj in the very next delivery.
