IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Day 3 Stumps, England at 67/1, need 332 runs to WIN | India vs England 2nd Test 2024 Live: The Second Test Match between India and England comes to its final stage as England need 332 runs to win the second test match at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Currently, England is playing their second inning in Vizag and at the end of Day 3, they are at 67/1 however, it is not going to be easy for England to chase such a massive target in India on Day 4 & 5.

India played good cricket with bat but they can do better with the ball as England lost a single wicket on Day 3. Indian Team scored 255 runs in their second inning and gave England a huge 399-run target, which is pretty much unachievable. The Indian Youngster Shubman Gill played a fantastic inning and led the Indian Team in a strong position as he scored 104 runs in 147 balls.

English bowler bowled well on Day 3 as they restrict Indian Team under 300 runs. However, due to the poor performance in their first inning, the target is so high but if England plays good cricket they can chase the target like they did in the first test match in Hyderabad. English spinners Tom Hartley took four wickets whereas Rehan Ahmed took three wickets on Day 3 for England.

IND vs ENG 2nd Test Day 3 Match Summary:

After Day 2 India was at 28/0 but as Day 3 started Skipper Rohit Sharma got out by scoring just 13 runs in 21 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal also failed to give a good start to the team and he was able to score only 17 runs in 27 balls. Both the Indian openers got out early, which put pressure on the India Team but Shubman Gill stood from one end and played a superb knock of 104 runs.

Axar Patel also made a decent partnership of 89 runs for the fifth wicket, Axar scored 45 runs in 84 balls. Therefore, the Indian Team got all out by scoring 255 runs on the scoreboard in their second inning but they had an England target of 399 runs to win the second test match in Visakhapatnam.

From England’s Bowling Department, Spinners dominated the pacers again as English Star Pacer James Anderson took two wickets whereas Spinner Tom Hartley and Rehan Ahmed took four and three wickets, respectively in India’s second inning. England bowled well on Day 3 but if they could able to take the wicket of Shubman Gill then target might be quite low.

In the second Inning, England started well as they scored 67 runs with the loss of one wicket in 14 overs. However, England still needs 332 runs to win the second test match and they have Day 4 & Day 5 to chase the target but it is expected that the outcome of the second test match will come tomorrow on Day 4. From the Indian Bowling Department, Ravichandran Ashwin took one wicket in England’s second inning.
