After a short break, it’s time for the third IND vs ENG Test. The match between the teams is all set to take place in Rajkot from 15th February. The series between the two teams is levelled at 1-1, which makes the upcoming game even more exciting and interesting. Both the teams would be eager for a win and would want to take a lead 2-1.

IND vs ENG: India playing 11 for the third Test against England prediction

India will be having a relatively young squad for the last three IND vs ENG games. Virat Kohli has opted out for the full series whereas KL Rahul will miss the third game and Shreyas Iyer has been dropped. It will be an exciting opportunity for young guns to stake their claim in international cricket.

Openers – Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal; Shubman Gill at 3

The top of the India team for the third IND vs ENG Test is unlikely to see any change. India captain Rohit Sharma along with Yashasvi Jaiswal will be opening the innings for the team. Skipper in particular would want to get some runs under his belt because he is yet to make a mark in the series.

On the other hand, Jaiswal has been brilliant in the series and is the leading run-getter for the team. He would be hoping to continue his good form in the third IND vs ENG. At No.3, Shubman Gill is likely to bat. He slammed a blistering ton in the second game and saved his place in the team.

Middle order – Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel (wk)

The Indian middle order for the third IND vs ENG is expected to be filled with inexperienced players. Rajat Patidar will be batting at No.4 after making his debut in the last match. He had a decent outing in the first game and would be looking to make a mark in the next match.

Sarfaraz Khan is expected to make his debut for India. With no KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer in the team, he is likely to get a nod ahead in the IND vs ENG game at Rajkot. He has been piling up huge amounts of runs in domestic cricket and would want to replicate that in international cricket.

There also have been reports that have suggested that KS Bharat will be dropped from the team because of his poor performances with the bat. In his place, Dhruv Jurel is likely to play and make his debut for the team.

All-rounders – Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravindra Jadeja, who missed the second game due to injury, is expected to make a comeback for the third game. The all-rounder will be vital for the team in the game and will add much-needed balance to the team.

Alongside him, Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin are expected to play. The trio will be crucial to the team’s chances in the third IND vs ENG game. If India has to fancy their chances of winning the match, they need to play a huge role with bat and ball.

Fast bowlers – Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah

Mohammed Siraj is all set to make a return to the team after missing the second match. The fast bowler was rested and now would be hoping to make a mark. Accompanying him will be Jasprit Bumrah, who is the leading wicket-taker for India with 15 wickets to his name.
