IND vs ENG: “RCB lovers hyped him like next Sachin” Fans slam Rajat Patidar as he bags duck in Ranchi

The torrid run for Rajat Patidar continued in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. The ongoing fourth match of the five-match Test series turned out to be horrible for him at the Jharkhand Cricket Association Stadium in Ranchi.

Rajat Patidar’s form with the bat has been one of the biggest concerns for Team India in the ongoing IND vs ENG series. The batter terribly in the game and it’s fair to say that the second innings potentially was the last opportunity for him to save his spot.

But he couldn’t as Rajat Patidar perished for a duck. After scoring 17 runs in the first innings of the ongoing IND vs ENG game, it was expected that he would set the stage on fire in the second innings and step up for the team in a tough situation. However, that didn’t go as he wanted.

Rajat Patidar bagged a six-ball as he as was removed by Shoaib Bashir. The bowler bowled a classical off-break that drifted in with bounce. It caught the inside edge of the bat as the batter pressed forward. The ball went off the pad and was caught by Ollie to his right at backward short-leg.

Rajat Patidar came to bat after India lost skipper Rohit Sharma (55). The young batter made his debut for the team in the second IND vs ENG Test and hasn’t been able to go past the 40-run mark in the series. Coming to the series, he had a great reputation but he has failed to live up to them.

With KL Rahul likely to make a comeback for the team in the next IND vs ENG game in Dharamsala, it won’t be a surprise if the batter gets dropped from the team. With all the young guns performing, it will be tough for him to make a comeback now.
