IND vs ENG: India will be taking on England in the five-match T20I series, which is scheduled to begin on the 22nd of January. The Indian T20I side will be led by skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who has led India to successive T20I series wins after the World Cup win in the USA in 2024. 

England will be led by skipper Jos Buttler, their most veteran player, against India, who himself has many records to ace in the upcoming T20I series. With the Champions Trophy awaited and every side looking to strengthen their ODI form, the T20s are getting neglected; however, this India vs. England series for the shortest format of the game is very vital from the point of view of individual landmarks that await the players.

9. Jos Buttler is nearing 1100 fours in T20 cricket. 

 

English skipper Jos Buttler is just 14 fours away from surpassing Aaron Finch in the number of fours tally in T20 cricket, while he also is about to emerge as the eighth batter to have hit 1100 fours in his T20 career.

Arshdeep Singh, the young pace sensation, has 95 wickets so far for India in the format. He is just a wicket away from Yuzi Chahal’s most T20I wickets for India, while he is also just 5 wickets away from being the first Indian to 100 T20I wickets.

Hardik Pandya is not far away from achieving an exceptional record in the shortest format of the game. Pandya, who now has 89 wickets, will be nearing 100 wickets as well, while Hardik Pandya also needs 12 sixes to reach the milestone of 100 sixes for India. 

 

Pandya will be the first T20I player to score 1500+ runs with 100 sixes in international cricket and also having picked 100 international T20 wickets.

Sanju Samson, scoring three hundred for India, has neared MS Dhoni's record runs in T20 cricket, as he is 140 runs away from surpassing 7432 runs, which Dhoni scored in T20 cricket, while just 115 runs away from surpassing Dinesh Karthik as well. 

 

1. Salt and Samson near SKY’s hundreds record

 

Phil Salt, the English batter, and Sanju Samson, both of whom have 3 hundred scored each, are both just a hundred away from surpassing Suryakumar Yadav, who also has four hundred to his name in the format.
