New Zealand over the years have troubled the Indian team a lot in the ICC events. Often they acted as a barrier for Team India and this time around, it’ll be the same threat as well. But with the way they have performed, it’ll be a great contest to watch.

Openers – Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill

Coming to the Indian playing 11, it’s expected that Rohit Sharma will be there along with Shubman Gill at the top. The duo has given vital starts to the in entire tournament and a lot of pressure would be on them in the IND vs NZ semi-final. A lot would be reliant on them as they have been the backbone of the team.

Rohit Sharma in particular will be important for the team in the IND vs NZ game as he has been giving the team a rollicking start in all the games. Gill on the other hand has looked in good touch but is yet to slam a big ton. He would be hoping to do it on the big stage.

Middle order- Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul

Virat Kohli no doubt will bat at No.3 in the IND vs NZ semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023. He’s the leading run-getter in the tournament with around 600 runs to his name. With the way he has batted in the tournament, he is likely to play a vital role for the team in the semi-final.

Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have been India’s biggest positive in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. They have scored runs in clusters for the team and have batted beautifully. Both smashed in the game against the Netherlands and god forbid, if there’s top order collapse, they can save the team.

Finishers – Suryakumar Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja; Spinner Kuldeep Yadav

Although Suryakumar Yadav is yet to set the stage on fire in the tournament, it is likely that the team will retain him for the IND vs NZ game. With the kind of ability he possesses, it’s fair to say if he gets going, he can change the course of the game in just a few overs. He can be the X factor for the team in the semi-final.

Ravindra Jadeja is likely to play a crucial role for the team in the IND vs NZ game. He’s expected to play a handy role with the bat and a big role with the ball. He has been spot-on with his staggering performances in the tournament. Partnering with him will be Kuldeep Yadav in the spin bowling department. They will play a big role for the team in the semi-final.

Fast bowlers – Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah

India’s fast bowling lineup has been a class apart in the ICC World Cup 2023. The trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami has bowled impeccable lines and lengths in the tournament and has made world-class batters look clueless. They are one of the main reasons behind team being in the semi-final. The trio is expected to play a huge role in IND vs NZ.
