IND vs NZ: Virat Kohli was at his classical best during India’s game against Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2023. The Indian batter set the stage on fire and made sure that the crowd in Pune got their money’s worth. He continued his golden touch in Pune and took his team home.
Virat Kohli came to bat when India lost Rohit Sharma (48) in the chase of 257 runs. The batter was off the flying start as he got no balls and free hits early on. He capitalised on that and then built on his innings magnificently well.
Virat Kohli finally smashed his World Cup century after 2015 as he ended with the knock of unbeaten 103 runs of 97 balls. His ton made sure that India registered their fourth consecutive win of the ICC World Cup 2023. India won the game by 7 wickets.
With his knock, not only Virat Kohli register his first ton in World Cups since 2015 but he also shattered a lot of records. He became the leading run scorer in ICC White Ball events. The batter also won the Player of the Match award for his ton and with that, he now has now most awards in ICC events.

As he slammed his half-century, he also became the batter with most plus scores while chasing in ICC events. If this was not enough, he also has second most fifty plus scores in history of World Cups and most 50+ scores in ICC White Ball chases.
Virat Kohli also became the first player in the history of the game to score 1,500 runs in run chases in ICC events. He also has 4th most fifty plus scores in international cricket. He would be hoping to continue the same form in the IND vs NZ game as well.
