IND vs SA 2024: India’s Historic Win in Cape Town Against South Africa, Became First Asian Team To Achieve This Feat: The Indian Team defeated South Africa in the second test match at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town by 7 wickets and the two-match series ended with a draw by 1-1. After Winning the match, India became the Asian Team to win a test match in Cape Town against South Africa. 

The Second Test Match between India and South Africa ended in just one day and 2 sessions as the conditions were very tough for batting whereas the Pacers dominated the game and teams were able to score decent runs on the scoreboard. After the India vs South Africa Test Series 2024, Team India jumped to the top position in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-2025 Points Table.

It was a great test match and both the teams played exceptionally well, but the Indian Team dominated South Africa from the first day in this game. The Player of the Match was Mohd. Siraj, he took seven wickets whereas Player of the Series was Dean Elgar and Jasprit Bumrah, who performed phenomenally in this two-match test series.

IND vs SA 2024: India vs South Africa 2nd Test Match Summary:

South Africa batted first and they got all out by scoring just 55 runs in 23.2 overs. From the South African Side, There were only two batters who scored 10+ runs in this inning, Kyle Verreynne and David Bedingham scored 15 and 12 runs, respectively. Indian Bowlers shattered the strong batting line-up of South Africa as Mohd. Siraj took six wickets whereas Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar took two wickets each.

India played decent cricket in their first inning but it was far better than South Africa, which led them to have an upper hand in this game. Indian Team scored 153 runs, Virat Kohli scored 46 runs and Rohit Sharma scored 39 runs in this inning. From the South African Bowling Department, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Burger took three wickets each.

South Africa showed good intent and they made 176 runs on the scoreboard and gave the Indian Team a target of 79 runs. However, Aiden Markram was the only player who stood alone against the Indian Pacers and scored 106 runs in 103 balls. Indian Pacers Jasprit Bumrah took six wickets in this inning.

India needed 79 runs to win the second test match and they easily chased the target in just 12 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 28 runs whereas Skipper Rohit Sharma scored 17 runs. Indian Batters played aggressive cricket in the last inning as they did not want to give South Africa any opportunity to come back into the game.
