IND vs SA: India begin their first T20 match today at Durham, as this will mark the beginning of the four-match T20 series between the two teams.

The last time India travelled to South Africa for a similar T20 series, it ended in a draw, as neither of the two teams won a match each, while one match was washed off due to rain. Suryakumar Yadav, the then captain of the T20I series, marked a series-leveling performance then.

However, the Proteas would look to harvest their grudge from the World Cup T20 final, while India will climb the ladder once again. South Africa, with their newly launched squad, will look to bounce back after their set of losses in the shortest format since the T20 World Cup final at Barbados.

Also, the two nations, India and South Africa have registered the maximum number of players in the mega-auction, and this series will be the last chance for many players to prep for the IPL mega-auction.

IND vs. SA: India’s Probable Playing 11 for the First T20I

Opening Batsman: Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma

Samson has been the standout performer for India, as he dominated with a stunning hundred scored against Bangladesh. While Abhishek Sharma, the swashbuckling opener, will also look to arrive in form prior to the IPL.

Middle Order Batsmen: Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, and Tilak Varma

The middle order is primarily led by the skipper Suryalumar Yadav from the front, while the likes of superstar Rinku Singh also adore their tally of middle-order batters. Varma replaces the likes of Riyan Parag in the team, who has been ruled out due to injury.

All-rounders: Ramandeep Singh and Hardik Pandya

The two magnificent all-rounders, including the veteran and a rookie, will also be a part of their squad. Ramandeep is the new addition to India’s playing 11 in the absence of Nitish Kumar Reddy, who will be part of India’s BGT squad.

Bowlers: Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, and Varun Chakravarthy

India will have the likes of two spinners and two pacers in their squad, which includes Avesh Khan’s return to the squad alongside World Cup winner Arshdeep Singh. The two spinners Bishnoi and Chakravarthy will be placed alongside them to gain control of the middle overs.
