IND vs WI: India Cricket Team achieved a massive record in the ongoing second Test against West Indies at the Queen’s Park in Port of Spain, Trinidad. They broke Sri Lanka’s 21-year-old record of scoring the fastest 100 runs in the innings.
India was on fire with the bat in the second innings. After they bundled out West Indies for 255 runs, taking a lead of 185 runs, the Rohit Sharma-led side came out with all guns blazing and batted an aggressive approach, smashing bowlers from the ball 1.
Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal played some blissful strokes and made a mockery of West Indies bowlers. The Indian skipper smashed his fastest half-century in Tests and ended with the knock of 57 runs off 44 balls whereas Jaiswal scored 38 runs in 30 balls.

They ended the partnership with of 98 runs, scoring fifty in just 3.5 overs. After their opening partnership, Shubman Gill (29*) and Ishan Kishan (52*) stitched fiery 79 runs partnership that propelled India to a total of 185 runs, taking a lead of 364 runs before skipper Rohit Sharma declared the innings.
India’s brutal batting saw them reach the 100-run mark in just 12.2 overs, which is the fastest ever a team has taken in terms of ball faced. They surpassed Sri Lanka, who scored 100 runs in 13.2 overs against Bangladesh in 2001.
