Team India’s 15-member T20I Squad will be led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya with Suryakumar Yadav as his deputy. The BCCI continues to sideline senior players from the shortest format of the sport, which is a clear indication that the likes of them getting phased out.

Wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson has been called back to assume the wicketkeeping duties. Opening batter Ishan Kishan is another designated wicketkeeper in India’s T20I Squad.

The BCCI have picked up as many as four spinners and as many pacers in the squad. The spin department will be led by seasoned Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav with Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel in the ranks too. Meanwhile, the pace bowling unit will be spearheaded by Hardik Pandya himself, who will have the support of Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik and Mukesh Kumar.
