WTC Final 2023: Team India

IND vs WI:With the West Indies tour just around the corner, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are likely to take a few bold steps in the selection of the team. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that governing body has highlighted five major points before announcing the team for the tour.

One of the main talking points for the selection is the place of Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav in the Test side. The duo has been part of the team for the last decade and has contributed significantly to the team. But of late their performances have been concerning and they failed terribly in the WTC Final.

It is learned that in their Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar are likely to be selected. The duo has performed exceptionally well in the domestic circuit. The young batter can be slotted at No.3 in place of Pujara whereas Mukesh Kumar can walk into XI, especially in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
