IND vs ZIM: Jaiswal sets a new record in international cricket in the ongoing 5th T20I

IND vs ZIM: India has already won a comfortable series against Zimbabwe after the Men in Blue lagged in the first game of the series. Under new skipper Shubman Gill, India faced a major loss in the series opener, which startled the cricketing world.

However, the Men in Blue came back strongly, with Abhishek Sharma scoring a splendid ton in just his second international appearance. A breathtaking ton in the second match of the series, and later a wicket in the series, took him into the record books.

India sealed the series with a 3-1 lead over the hosts, where skipper Gill batted well for his 50 alongside young Jaiswal’s brilliant 93*, which provided India with a stunning 10-wicket victory.

Later, in their very next outing, in the last T20I of the series, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal came into bat with his skipper. Jaiswal hit Zimbabwe skipper Raza for a huge six from his full toss, which he thumbed over deep mid-wicket.

Raza’s first delivery was called a no-ball, as Jaiswal capitalized on the free-hit, as he went all boom boom with two sixes in a single legal delivery. With this, Jaiswal hit the record books, as he became the first player in cricket history to score 13 runs on a single legal delivery.

Though Raza came back strongly as he struck in the same over, India soon seemed struggling, as Jaiswal was followed by the skipper and young Abhishek at the score of 14. India, however, didn’t stop to stumble and ended their innings at 167.
