India, Pakistan, Australia and England should play quadrilateral series, says Ramiz Raja: The Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja has proposed to bring the top four T20I teams – India, Pakistan, Australia and England – together in a quadrilateral tournament. Raja has requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to pay heed to the matter and formulate a method to play the ‘Super Series’ between the aforementioned teams.
India and Pakistan’s international cricket engagement is only limited to the ICC and Asia Cup events. Both sides haven’t featured in the bilateral series since 2012 due to the political tensions and border differences between them.
The last time India and Pakistan met in a match was during the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE.
“Hello fans. Will propose to the ICC a Four Nations T20i Super Series involving Pak Ind Aus Eng to be played every year,to be hosted on rotation basis by these four. A separate revenue model with profits to be shared on percentage basis with all ICC members, think we have a winner,” Raja wrote on his tweet.
Raja is of the view that the India-Pakistan match, and the Super Series in general, would generate good revenue that would not only benefit the participating nation but can also be distributed among the associate nations.
The move from the PCB chairman is also meant to bring India and Pakistan against each other more frequently in the field of cricket.

“We have got to break the barriers for the sake of the game and the fans,” said Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja.
He further acknowledged the packed calendar of all the international teams, however, asserted that it would be a shame if the teams can’t find out a window for the quadrilateral series.
“If you can’t find a window for this, then cricket is doomed, sorry,” he declared.
International cricket return to Pakistan in 2019 after the country was forsaken for more than a decade following the attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009. Every major cricket playing nation expressed their hesitance to travel to that part of the world where the safety of the visiting team comes under severe threat.
Pakistan recently hosted West Indies for a limited-overs series. In the coming months, Pakistan is scheduled to host Australia, New Zealand and other playing nations to revive the cricketing economy of the country.
