India playing XI for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy leaked two days ahead of the tournament
India National Cricket Team's playing XI for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy has been revealed. As per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that the Rohit Sharma-led side will be opting for the combination of three spinners and two seamers in the team.
The opening positions in the India National Cricket Team have been locked by the captain and vice-captain. Rohit Sharma, along with Shubman Gill, will be opening the innings for the team in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy and would be keen to play a major role for the side, both leading from the front.
At No.3, the India National Cricket Team has slotted Virat Kohli while Shreyas Iyer KL Rahul, who will be the wicketkeeper, will be holding the key in the middle order for the side in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The trio played a massive role for the side in the ICC World Cup 2023, where the team reached the final.
In the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, India will be going with Hardik Pandya as the fast-bowling all-rounder. It's fair to say if the team has to win the tournament, he needs to bring his best with the bat and ball.
Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja will be the two spin-bowling all-rounders for India in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The duo played a huge role for the team in the England ODI series, and along with them, the reports claimed that Kuldeep Yadav would be the third spinner.
Arshdeep Singh is expected to get a nod ahead of Harshit Rana, who played all three games in the England series. The left-arm pacer played the last match and will be preferred because of the variations that he brings to the table. He will be partnering with Mohammed Shami in the XI for the India National Cricket Team.
