ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023: Just six days to go until the ICC women’s T20 World Cup. The International Cricket Council has already announced the schedule and fixtures for the Women’s World Cup 2023 season. On February 10, a match between hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka will kick off the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.
Australia are the defending champions as they crushed India in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 by 80+ runs. Australia once again are coming out as the most favourites for the titles this year too. Meanwhile, Indian women are also ready to take revenge if the title is at stake. Although India and Australia, both are in different Groups so they won’t face each other till the knockout rounds.
The group stage will feature a total of 4 matches for Team India, with the first one taking place on February 12 in Cape Town versus Pakistan. Along with England, the West Indies, Pakistan, and Ireland, Team India is a member of Group 2. On February 15, India will play West Indies at the same location. On February 18, England and on February 20, Ireland will be the next targets for India. The semifinal matches will include the top two teams from each group after the group stage. The final will be staged on February 26, 2023.

On 28 December 2022(Wednesday), the Indian squad for the T20 tournament was announced. Shikha Pandey was recalled to the side after a 14-month absence. Meghna Singh’s mediocre recent performance has probably caused Shikha to replace her in the lineup.
