Team India recently completed its West Indies tour with a commanding victory by 4-1 in the T20I series and swept the Caribbeans in the ODI series.
The short tour of Zimbabwe will be important for the Indian fringe players who are consistently knocking on the selector’s door. The likes of Deepak Hooda, Deepak Chahar, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Kuldeep Yadav will see this as a comeback opportunity to draw selectors’ attention.

Host Zimbabwe and India will meet at Harare Sports Club on August 18 for the first ODI. The remaining two ODIs are scheduled to be held on August 20 and 22 at the Harare Sports Club, Harare.

Team India and Zimbabwe have faced each other in 63 ODIs so far and expectedly India have an upper hand. While India emerged winners on 51 occasions, Zimbabwe hit back at India 10 times.
