India vs Australia: India defeated Australia by five wickets in the opening One-Day International at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The Australian team was restricted to 188 runs in 35.4 overs when batting first after losing the toss. For the Kangaroos, Mitchell Marsh had the highest-scoring innings with 81 runs.

With the loss of five wickets in 39.5 overs, India reached the target. KL Rahul got back into the swing of things and batted superbly, playing an undefeated inning of 75 runs in 91 balls.

After the Test series, three ODIs have now started. In the first match, in the absence of Rohit Sharma, Indian team captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first. In response, the Australian team scored a total of 188 runs. Australia’s team was unable to play even the 50 overs and got all out in just 35.4 overs.

The start of the Australian team was very good; the team had scored 129 runs at the loss of just two wickets in just 20 overs, but then, in the next 97 balls, the Kangaroo team was able to score only 59 runs and lose their eight wickets.

While batting for Australia, his opener Mitchell Marsh scored 81 runs in 65 balls with the help of 10 fours and five sixes, which was the highest total from the Australian side, while captain Steve Smith was able to score only 22 runs.

Chasing 189 runs, the start of the Indian team was nothing special; initially, it seemed that the team would be all out within 100 runs. The Indian team had lost four wickets for 39 runs. But struggling with poor form, KL Rahul was standing on the wicket. Rahul scored 75 runs in 91 balls with great patience and technique, while on the other side, Ravindra Jadeja scored 45 runs, Captain Hardik Pandya 25, Ishan Kishan 3 runs, Virat Kohli 4 runs, and Surya Kumar Yadav was out on a duck.
