India vs England: Ajinkya Rahane gave an update regarding the pitch for the last test.

India vs England: Indian Test Vice Captain Ajinkya Rahane in the recent interaction with the press gave an update regarding the pitch to be used in the final test. Turning down all the critics of the surface used in India primarily in the India-England Test series, Rahane said it will be the rank turner again for the last test match at Ahmedabad.

Several cricket pundits fumed at the pitch however several looked reluctant to admit any wrong on the surface used for the India-England Test. Former England cricket Michael Vaughan slammed BCCI and ICC for not taking strict action against the curators for making such drastic rank-turners while some of the views that the surface was all good and it was players who could not trust their defence.

Ajinkya Rahane said that the pitch is more or less going to be the same in the last test. Another Rank turner in Ahmedabad is expected like the one used in Chennai. For the pink ball, it was coming a lot quicker and it was also skidding as compared to the red ball.

“When you play on spinning tracks, you have to play the line. If the ball is spinning too much, you don’t have to think about it. If you miss the ball, you miss the ball. That’s it. Backing your defence, backing your ability is the key and that’s what we follow.”

Unlike the third test with the pink ball, this time the rank turner will come onto the bat quite nicely.

India desperate to win the ICC title under Virat:

India is just one match away from booking the tickets for the Lord’s Test against New Zealand. Ajinkya Rahane expressed that this team is looking to win the ICC World Test Championship and the title is equally important as the World Cups.

It is noteworthy that the new era Indian team have not won any ICC title under Virat Kohli. Looking at the team’s mentality and work ethics of taking one game at a time and focusing on that no matter what feels like they desperately want to win the title this time.

India’s attitude and behaviour of not giving up easily are understood by each and every one. Right from the Australia series when all the important players were injured and the new guns from the bench came all their weapons blazing. Also after the loss in the first test against England, India bounced back and two back to back games to end the hopes and England.
