The India vs New Zealand warm-up game for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will begin from 1:30 pm onwards in the Indian subcontinent. The Indian cricket team will be keen on getting its combination right. With four days to go until their first game at the World Cup, the teams will be waiting for everything to fall into place. So, what are the top 3 things to look forward to, from the perspective of the Indian cricket team, in the India VS New Zealand Warm-up Game?

1) Does Rishabh Pant Get an Opportunity in India VS New Zealand Warm Up Game:

The Indian Cricket Team does not have a left-hander till number 7 when Axar Patel gets an opportunity to bat. The Indian team was relying on Jadeja to bat at number 4! But with Jaddu out due to injury, that plan has failed miserably! But India does have Rishabh Pant who can go big in important games. He has been the boy with immense potential in the T20 format. His numbers in this format are not very lucrative or impressive. He is a part of the team based on potential only! But that potential can be unleashed if he is given n number of opportunities, isn’t it? Will one of his chances be at the India VS New Zealand game? only time will tell!

2) Mohammed Shami to fix India’s Death Bowling Issues?

Mohammed Shami, the man who last played a T20I in the last T20 World Cup is also a part of the Indian cricket team. With the Indian team looking for a bowler to fix its death bowling issues, Shami’s name does come to mind. He took 3 wickets in that last over against Australia and his yorkers were very precise. Shami has that pace that is required to frighten the opposition. Earlier the quickest bloke in the team was Arshdeep who bowled 135 clicks. Even Hardik was bowling faster than that at times. Mohammed Shami seems to be a “must” in the playing 11! The India VS New Zealand game might see him bowling a few more overs at the death!

3) Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to hit form in India VS New Zealand Warm-Up Game:

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are timing the ball very well but they need to be in the flaming best if the Indian team has to go all the way. If one of these batters plays well, an Indian victory is certain on that day. Rohit especially has looked a bit off-color, off-late. He is timing the ball well but his shot selection has been poor. The Pakistani bowlers are expected to test the Indian batting with short bowling too. It was the strategy used by the Australians too!
