India vs South Africa 3rd ODI: Preview and Playing XIs of both sides

South Africa

Preview: South Africa have been seemingly good so far in the series. The team has delivered a fair amount of quality performances in the two previous matches. The bowling department, however, has led the visitors down in the series so far. The bowlers failed to defend a 279-run total in the second ODI while they were marginally saved in the first ODI as India fell short of their target narrowly by just 9 runs.

The batters however have been doing a good job putting up fighting totals and tormenting the home side regularly. The team will have to plan out its strategies properly in order to achieve its objectives in the crucial upcoming match.

Possible Playing XI: Janneman Malan, Quinton de Kock(wk), Temba Bavuma(c), Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Wayne Parnell, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi.

India

Preview: India displayed a much more improved performance in the second match as they registered a thumping victory over the visitors. The batters did a fine job in particular of making a mockery of the run chase as they edged past the Proteas with ease. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer showed heroics with the bat that led India to an easy win.

The bowlers, however, need to settle the issues that have led to their conceding runs on a regular basis. The team will likely remain unchanged ahead of the big decider match and try out its in-form players to deliver quality performances for one last time in the series.

Possible Playing XI: Shikhar Dhawan(c), Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson(wk), Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Avesh Khan.

India vs South Africa 3rd ODI: Probable Top Performers

Probable best batsman of the match – Shreyas Iyer

India’s No. 4 batsman, Shreyas Iyer has been in magical form with the bat recently. He smashed a fifty in the opening match of the series and followed it up with a magnificent century in the second game. The 28-year-old has displayed an excellent range of shots as he’s totally dominated the opposition bowlers throughout the series until now.

His attacking approach has been of great use for his side. Currently the top scorer in the series, Iyer will look to pile on more runs in the series decider tomorrow.

Probable best bowler of the match – Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj showed a brilliant performance with the ball in the previous game. His fine spell of bowling, wherein he picked up three crucial wickets while conceding just 38 runs, played a major role in India’s win.

His spell was significant since it helped India choke the opposition by bringing down their run rate and also jolting them with regular wickets. The pacer will be expected to deliver another quality spell of bowling in the series decider.
