India is coming from a defeat at the hands of Pakistan. The team is not under immense pressure as its chances of qualification for the final are still there. The fact that Ravindra Jadeja will miss out ensures that Dinesh Karthik will be benched again as Rishabh is the only left-hander in the top 4. The team combination however looks very solid with Deepak Hooda coming in at number 7. Virat Kohli has found form and KL Rahul also looked in good touch against Pakistan.
There is a cloud of concern over the wicket-taking options. The form of Yuzvendra Chahal, which is above average is still a concern for many pundits. It makes little sense as Yuzi is and will continue to be India’s top white-ball spinner.
