India vs West Indies 2nd ODI: The flamboyant hosts after firmly taking an upper hand in the 1st ODI Match against West Indies in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, are all set to lock horns in the second One Dayer and put the stamp of authority on the three matches ODI series.
India and West Indies will meet on the same ground on 9th February for the second ODI match. With India taking a lead of 1-0, the pressure will be on the visitors to neutralise the series with a win.
Rohit Sharma-led India ticked all the boxes in the series opener, whether it was batting, bowling or fielding. The entire group contributed to the team’s success. The bowlers did exceptionally well with their tight lines. They didn’t let the opposition free their arms and fetched timely wickets.
On the other hand, West Indies went through with the same old issue of not being able to play their 50 overs. The Caribbean batsman couldn’t handle Indian spinners and as a result, the middle-order collapsed.
Senior all-rounder Jason Holder scored a gritty 57 runs knock, which was the only positive sign for the visitors to take from the opening fixture against India.
Kieron Pollard and Co will look to make amends in their performance in the 2nd ODI and will be hoping to not follow the same old collapsable pattern of losing.
