IND vs SL Dream11 Prediction: The rematch of the 2011 ICC World Cup Final – India vs Sri Lanka – is set to be held on November 2, 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium. India and Sri Lanka will lock horns for match number 33 of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 on Thursday. The contest will begin at 2:00 PM IST.

There is no match for Team India’s dominance in the proceeding World Cup 2023. With six victories from as many matches, the Men in Blue are riding comfortably on cruise control as we see them gearing up for their seventh fixture against Sri Lanka.

On the other side, Sri Lanka are in a spot of bother as everyone now aims for the 2023 World Cup semi-final berth. Though they still have decent chances to make it to the elite list of top-four teams, it won’t be as easy as it looks.

Sri Lanka’s fixture against India will be their biggest challenge that they would look to seal. Additionally, one of their remaining two games, after IND vs SL, will be against New Zealand, which is another demanding challenge for them.

Talking about the recent form of the two concerened teams, the hosts are on a six-game winning momentum, while Sri Lanka has lost their recent fixture to Afghanistan after surprisingly defeating England the other day.

With all the World Cup 2023 qualification scenarios hovering around, the India vs Sri Lanka fixture becomes a do-or-die situation for the latter outfit. Meanwhile, India won’t face any issues even if they lose to Sri Lanka.

Below is the complete detail of the fixture including – IND vs SL Dream11 Prediction 33rd Match World Cup 2023 | India vs Sri Lanka Dream11 Team, Wankhede Stadium Pitch Report, India Playing 11.

The surface here is often considered batting-friendly, however, the ongoing World Cup 2023 has been a bit different. The bowlers have generated decent help off the surface and bowled out teams on multiple occasions. The straight boundaries are a bit bigger as compared to the square boundaries. There will be bounce and pace on offer.

ICC ODI Player Rankings (Rank 1 to 10) Updated After PAK vs BAN ICC ODI World Cup 2023 (1 November) | Full ICC Men’s ODI Player Standings

ICC ODI Player Rankings (Rank 1 to 10) Updated After PAK vs BAN: Pakistani Players are in leading positions in the ODIs as ICC has updated the ICC ODI Player Rankings after the PAK vs BAN match in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Babar Azam is still the number 1 ODI batter and his compatriot Shaheen Afridi is now the Number 1 Ranked ODI Bowler. There are a lot of shuffles at the Rankings and here we are with the lasted ICC ODI Player Rankings (Rank 1 to 10) Updated After PAK vs BAN ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

There are significant changes in the latest updated rankings of the players in the ODI format. There are 5 Indian, 5 Kiwi players, and 5 Afghan players in the top 10 of batting, bowling, and fielding rankings. Just two Pakistani players are present there in the top 10 of all three categories and both of them are at the Number 1 position. This puts weight on the fact that Pakistan is heavily dependent on 2-3 top players and they drive the team.

Babar has successfully defended his number 1 rank even after some not-so-convincing performances. He has scored 264 runs in the 7 matches with the help of 20 fours and just 2 sixes. He has also three 50+ scores under his belt which helped him to stay at 818 ranking points.

Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam
Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam

Just following him is the Prince of Indian Cricket- Shubman Gill. Gill missed the first two matches of the tournament and even after, his performance is not up to the mark. He scored 104 runs in 4 innings riding over a beautiful half-century but only one. Nevertheless, he is giving a tough fight to Babar Azam and is just 2 points behind him.

South African left-handed batter Quinton de Kock is at 3 with 765 rating points. He is having an amazing tournament as a batsman. He is right at the top of the most run-scorers list. His compatriot Rassie van der Dussen though slipped 5 positions and now sits 9th on the list.

Warner and Rohit Sharma have made some drastic gains in the latest updated ICC ODI Player Rankings. Warner climbed 3 spots and Rohit has entered the top 5 of the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings.

IND vs SL will be the 2011 World Cup final rematch as the game will be held at the very same ground where India won the tournament. For Men in Blue, a win can secure them a place in the semi-finals and they would be hoping to do that and continue their winning run.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are expected to be opening a pair for the team in the IND vs SL game. Rohit has been in staggering form in the tournament and has been smashing a lot of runs for the team. Gill on the other hand hasn’t quite fired and would be looking to make a statement.

Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer didn’t have great outings against England. They both perished for low scores and were under the scanner for the way they gave their wickets. Both the batters would be hoping to make their innings count and help the team win the game.

KL Rahul will be the keeper of the team. He has been batting well in the middle order and a lot is dependent on him. Hardik Pandya is yet to join the team again and Suryakumar Yadav is expected to retain his place for IND vs SL. He scored a crucial 49 runs against England.

Ravindra Jadeja will be the only all-rounder in the team. He has played a vital role for the team in the tournament with both bat and ball. Indian bowling lineup has done wonders in the ongoing tournament. Therefore it would be surprising if management makes any changes for the IND vs SL game.

Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are expected to be the three front-line pacers. Whereas Kuldeep Yadav will be the leg-spinner.

One of the key players to watch out for in IND vs SL will be Shreyas Iyer. The batter has come under a lot of scrutiny for his short ball issues and hasn’t quite set the stage on fire. With Mumbai being his home ground, he wound be itching to make a statement and play a match-winning innings for the team.

Another key player to watch for India will be Mohammed Shami. The pacer has played just two games in the tournament and has set the stage on fire. He has picked 9 wickets in just two games. With Wankhede stadium offering swing, he would be lethal for the team.

(1 November) ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Players with Most Runs and Most Wickets: The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is heading to the end of the group stage with 31 out of 45 matches being played and the latest contest between Pakistan and Bangladesh saw the former beating the latter by 7 wickets. It was a grand comeback by Pakistan where they have a pis aller for the semis qualification. Here we are back with the list of Players with Most Runs and Most Wickets So Far in World Cup 2023.

Practically Pakistan are not going to make it to the semis, but they produced their A Game against Bangladesh for which they have got reputation in world cricket. After 4 consecutive losses, Pakistan made a comeback but is it enough? it is a big NO.

They were asked to bowl first on an extremely dry pitch and they made three changes to their starting eleven. Usama Mir in place of Shadab Khan, Agha Salman in place of Muhammad Nawaz, and Fakhar Zaman in place of the Imam. Setting the tone early, Shaheen Afridi claimed two wickets before coming back to beautifully take away a well-positioned Mahmudullah.

Haris Rauf’s sheer speed and variations saw him dismiss the two most experienced Bangladeshi hitters. Iftikhar fired Litton Das, severing a vital partnership. With a fast tempo and a reverse swing, Mohammad Wasim went through the tail. Nearly no fielding errors occurred as Pakistan comfortably wiped out their opponents by 204 runs.

In response, the openers set up a dominant opening stand of 128 runs to guarantee that the chase would be easy. With visually stunning strokes, Abdullah Shafique recorded his fourth 50+ score of the competition. In his return match, Fakhar Zaman demonstrated his prowess as the top batsman. Hammered three fours and seven sixes to dash every hope for the Bangladeshi team.

Why Team India has not qualified for World Cup 2023 Semi-Final despite 6 Wins in ICC World Cup 2023

0

ICC World Cup 2023 Team India: With six victories in as many games, India’s form in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 remains red hot and unassailable so far. The hosts have managed to go past every obstacle that were thrown towards them in the World Cup 2023 quite convincingly. However, despite such a terrific record and six wins, India has yet not qualified for World Cup 2023 Semi-Finals: Know Why?

Team India’s recent victory came against England, the defending champions. India defeated Jos Buttler and his boys by a massive 100 runs at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow to bring up their sixth win of the tournament.

The win against England was quite convincing for India as they batted first for the first time in the showpiece event. Skipper Rohit Sharma wanted to challenge his team and as it turned out, the players got out of it. India scored 229 runs in 50 overs with the skipper remaining as the highest run-getter. Later in the game, India reduced England to a meagre total of 129 runs and won the game by 100 runs.

Notably, India has earlier defeated Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand to win their first five matches before demolishing England in the sixth fixture.

How can Team India not qualify for World Cup 2023 Semi-Final?

Though Team India has realistically qualified for the World Cup 2023 semi-final, mathematically the team is yet to see it happen. The chances of India not qualifying for the World Cup 2023 semi-final are very slim.

For this to happen, India will have to lose all of their remaining three World Cup 2023 fixtures, which would put them in a spot of bother. India’s next three games are against – Sri Lanka (Nov 2), South Africa (Nov 5) and Netherlands (Nov 12).

With the form India is in, no one can think this result would be possible unless a slew of improbable results transpire. In this case, India will finish their campaign on 12 points (6 wins) and can be pushed out from the top 4 only by Afghanistan, who is currently at sixth place with three wins from six matches.

Afghanistan has three more fixtures and needs to win all of them to eliminate India out of the top 4.

Barring Afghanistan, no one of the remaining five teams in the bottom six bracket can come as an obstacle for Team India due to their lesser number of victories.

Moreover, New Zealand and Australia, placed at third and fourth place in the points table, will have to win two of their remaining three matches and only lose to Afghanistan. South Africa, too, will have to win one of their remaining three matches to match India’s tally of 12 points.

How can Team India Qualify for World Cup 2023 semi-final?

India’s equation to qualify for World Cup 2023 semi-final is quite simple. Just a win in any of its remaining three matches would mean India is through to the semi-final. India’s next match is against Sri Lanka on November 2, a win from that game would do the trick for Team India.

It’s important to note that if any of the remaining three India fixtures in the World Cup 2023 get washed out, then the teams will share one point each which would also mean that India are through to the World Cup 2023 semi-final.

PAK vs BAN: Updated World Cup 2023 Points Table, Pakistan ELIMINATE Bangladesh from World Cup 2023 Points Table

PAK vs BAN: Following a string of hiccups in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, Pakistan have finally managed to bring out their best performance against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Pakistan made use of the opportunity and defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets. With the win, Pakistan eliminated Bangladesh from the World Cup 2023, besides improving their chances of semi-final qualification. This article will lead you through the Updated World Cup 2023 Points Table, Pakistan ELIMINATE Bangladesh from the World Cup 2023 Points Table.

After being put to bowl first by Bangladesh, Pakistan began their proceedings with a scalp. Shaheen Shah Afridi led the attack and was joined by Haris Rauf and Wasim Jr.

The sublime bowling effort resulted in Bangladesh getting reduced to a meagre total of 204 runs in 45.1 overs. Litton Das, Mahmadullah and skipper Shakib al Hasan became the highest run scorer for Bangladesh with scores of 45, 56 and 43 respectively.

Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr scalped three wickets apiece while Haris Rauf got two for himself and Usama Mir and Iftikhar Ahmed got one each.

With just 204 runs on board, the equation was pretty simple for Pakistan. The Men in Green got a fantastic start with their openers scoring 128 runs. After the opening partnership, later in the innings, Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed had a little partnership to take their side home. Fakhar Zaman top-scored the game with the knock of 81 runs in 74 deliveries followed by a 69-ball 68 from Abdullah Shafique.

PAK vs BAN: Pakistan Eliminate Bangladesh from World Cup 2023 Points Table

Bangladesh has become the first side to get eliminated from the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. A solitary victory from seven matches was what Bangladesh could score and now their campaign is all done and dusted, thanks to Pakistan. Bangladesh are currently placed at the penultimate position in the World Cup 2023 Points Table.

Pakistan has made a significant improvement in its ranking in the Points Table. Owing to the win, Pakistan has leap-frogged over Afghanistan to get a fifth spot in the World Cup 2023 Points Table. With three victories from seven matches, Pakistan continues to remain in contention for the semis.

Pakistan Qualification Scenario for semifinal

Pakistan will have to win the remaining matches at any cost. Pakistan’s next match is with New Zealand and England. Defending champion England is already out of WC 2023, and by leaving, they would like to put a full stop to Pakistan’s qualification as well. Before England, Pakistan will play its match against New Zealand. Like every year, the Kiwis are performing well this year too.

If we look at the current points table, India and South Africa are in the first and second positions, respectively. New Zealand is in third place with eight points, while Australia is in fourth place with eight points. If New Zealand and Australia lose their three remaining matches of the tournament, then in this condition, Afghanistan and Pakistan will qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023.
