The reason behind this has been the form of Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller. The batters in particular have unleashed themselves during the death overs and taken the world cricket by storm.

The Tigers lost wickets consistently, thanks to the brilliant bowling display from the Proteas. Later in the innings, Mahmadullah gave something to cheer for the Bangladeshi fans with his 111 runs knock in as many deliveries.

Barring Mahmudullah no other batter looked settled against the bowling unit of South Africa. Eventually, South Africa bundled out Bangladesh at a score of 233 runs in 46.4 overs and won the contest by 149 runs.
