The Match between England and South Africa will start at 2:00 PM (IST).

England has played decent cricket in this World Cup, as they won only one match out of three, but they are expected to do well in the upcoming matches. England’s batting department is the main concern for them in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, as they couldn’t score big runs on the scoreboard. English players need to play big innings to help their team win more matches in this tournament.

South Africa has played three matches, out of which they won two games, which put them in third position in the World Cup 2023 Points Table. They are performing wonderfully with both bat and ball, and all the key players are in good form. South Africa will give tough competition to England in this match, and they are expected to defeat them.

Australia vs Pakistan: David Warner, Marsh add a record-breaking partnership in World Cup 2023 against Pakistan in Bengaluru

Australia vs Pakistan: David Warner, Marsh add a record-breaking partnership in World Cup 2023 against Pakistan in Bengaluru: Australian opener batters Mitchell Marsh and David Warner made a mockery of the Pakistani bowlers as they mustered a record-breaking opening partnership at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in the ongoing contest between Australia and Pakistan. Both the batters stitched an opening stand of 259 runs, which also happens to be Australia’s highest opening partnership in the ODI World Cup history.

In the process, David Warner and Mitchell Marsh completed their individual centuries. While Warner played a marvelous 163-run knock, Marsh departed after scoring 121 runs against Pakistan in Bengaluru.

The opening duo of Australia surpassed the long-standing 2011 World Cup record owned by Brad Haddin and Shane Watson, who scored 183 against Canada in the very same venue on March 16, 2011.

Warner and Marsh completely owned the game till the time they were in the middle and placed Australia on a rampaging platform for a massive total at the Chinnaswamy.

At the time of the first breakthrough, of Mitchell Marsh, Australia were at 259 runs in 33.5 overs. However, the team lost another wicket, Glenn Maxwell, in the very next ball, golden duck.

It has also been learned that David Warner and Mitch Marsh’s partnership of 259 runs is also the second-highest opening partnership by any team in the history of the Cricket World Cups. The Aussie duo is only second to Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga, who scored 282 runs collectively against Zimbabwe back in 2011.

It’s important to note that Pakistan had the early opportunity to avoid this dangerous partnership as a chance was created by Shaheen Shah Afridi in the third delivery of the fourth over of the innings. Warner could only get a top-edge to a short delivery by Afridi which flew away to mid-on, where Usama Mir was stationed, but the fielder put the dolly down.

Post that easy chance put down by Mir, Pakistan could not trouble the Australian pair, who tormented the entire bowling unit with their stroke play.

Below are some facts on the records mustered by David Warner and Mitch Marsh during their partnership.

Virat Kohli (TOI)

IND vs NZ: Virat Kohli was at his classical best during India’s game against Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2023. The Indian batter set the stage on fire and made sure that the crowd in Pune got their money’s worth. He continued his golden touch in Pune and took his team home.

Virat Kohli came to bat when India lost Rohit Sharma (48) in the chase of 257 runs. The batter was off the flying start as he got no balls and free hits early on. He capitalised on that and then built on his innings magnificently well.

Virat Kohli finally smashed his World Cup century after 2015 as he ended with the knock of unbeaten 103 runs of 97 balls. His ton made sure that India registered their fourth consecutive win of the ICC World Cup 2023. India won the game by 7 wickets.

With his knock, not only Virat Kohli register his first ton in World Cups since 2015 but he also shattered a lot of records. He became the leading run scorer in ICC White Ball events. IND vs NZ: Massive blow for India! Hardik Pandya to miss game against New Zealand

They have thumped Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Kiwi challenge will be next for them and it’ll be the most toughest of the events. IND vs NZ: Massive blow for India! Hardik Pandya to miss game against New Zealand

As the IND vs NZ game is around the corner, India has suffered a major blow. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the game against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2023. BCCI released the official statement and confirmed that he won’t be travelling to Dharamsala with the team and will join in Lucknow ahead of the England clash.

Hardik Pandya got injured while bowling in the IND vs BAN game. The all-rounder slipped in the follow-through of his fourth delivery while attempting to save the boundary. He twisted his ankle and was taken off the field.

BCCI then provided a medical update on him revealing that he has been taking scans. Hardik Pandya didn’t enter the field then and later arrived in the dressing room. The scans revealed that the injury isn’t serious and it was a sort of sprain.

Even skipper Rohit Sharma after the game mentioned that his ankle his sore and is not serious but they will assess it on the morning. However even if it’s an ankle sprain, it takes a week to heal. This means that the all-rounder will be unfit for the IND vs NZ clash.

Hardik Pandya looked in immense pain and his absence will be a big blow for India as he has been India’s most valuable player in the tournament. Although we haven’t seen much of him with the bat but he has been crucial for the team with the ball. Management would be hoping for him to return soon.

IND vs NZ: India might play Suryakumar Yadav or Ishan Kishan in place of Hardik Pandya against New Zealand

Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav

With Hardik Pandya being ruled out of the IND vs NZ game, we might see India bringing in an extra batter. One of Suryakumar Yadav or Ishan Kishan might be drafted into the XI. With conditions being tricky in Dharamsala, the team won’t risk including R Ashwin instead of him.

The inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav also might see Shardul Thakur missing from the XI. Mohammed Shami is expected to be included in the team. The seam-friendly conditions there would help him and he would be lethal for the opposition.

PAK vs AUS: Pakistan’s Strongest Playing 11 against Australia and Key Players To Watch Out For Pakistan vs Australia ODI World Cup 2023

PAK vs AUS: Babar Azam-led Pakistan will lock horns against Pat Cummins-led Australia in the 18th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Pakistan ate a humiliating loss in their last outing against India and now it is time for them to hit with a strong comeback against Australia on 20 October. In this post, we discuss Pakistan’s Strongest Playing 11 against Australia and Key Players To Watch Out For PAK vs AUS.

Australia was one of the top contenders for the title this year as per cricket enthusiasts and pundits but they had a terrible start to their World Cup 2023 campaign. Australia straight lost the first two games and were on the back foot at the very beginning of the tournament. First, they lost to India by 6 wickets on a batting surface. Then South Africa crushed them by 134 runs again on a batting surface. Cummins and co. won their last match against Sri Lanka but there were also not-so-convincing performances by the Aussies.

PAK vs AUS: Pakistan’s Strongest Playing 11 against Australia and Key Players To Watch Out For Pakistan vs Australia ODI World Cup 2023
PAK vs AUS: World Cup 2023

Pakistan were looking strong and quite stable team a week ago but the Match against India on 14 October exposed their batting depth. Weak opening strategies, an out-of-form middle order, and a vulnerable bowling line-up that fumbles if they start leaking runs. Pakistan have some issues they need to deal with. And Pakistan have shown that have that potential to turn thing around when they are under pressure.

PAK vs AUS: Pakistan’s Strongest Playing 11 Analysis

Abdullah Shafique has provided stability at the top when the second partner Imam is running out of form. He smashed an excellent century against Sri Lanka and led his team to a second win in this edition of the World Cup. Babar showed a strong character against India after a string of poor scores.

Rizwan has been the backbone of Pakistan in the middle and undoubtedly has been the best Pakistani batter to understand and adapt to the Indian condition. He is the highest run scorer for Pakistan in this campaign.

Mohammad Rizwan
Mohammad Rizwan (image source – Twitter)

Pakistan’s top-order have to score high runs and prolong their innings if they want to win against Australia. Despite a strong start against India, they fell short there. Fakhar would have been an option to replace Imam but Zaman still remains unavailable for another week while Agha Salman is recovering from an illness.

Saud Shakeel has been impressive in the past but he looks off-color in this tournament and unfortunately, Pakistan doesn’t have that many options on the bench. Ifthikar is an explosive batsman but not a reliable one. He is not a promising finisher that Pakistan should have on a stage like the World Cup.

Shadab Khan will be there in the team working as a leg-spinning allrounder and he also provides a safe hand to the fielding. Now, Usama Mir replacing Mohammad Nawaz as Pakistan’s leg-spinner is the only change that appears plausible. Nawaz has not been too efficient, whereas Mir impressed against the Australians in Hyderabad during the warm-up game.

PAK vs AUS: Pakistan’s Playing 11

Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Usama Mir, Hassan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf

Full Pakistan Squad: Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam(c), Mohammad Rizwan(w), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Agha Salman, Fakhar Zaman, Usama Mir, Mohammad Wasim Jr

PAK vs AUS Key Players to Watch Out

Australia will be looking for big players to stand up and take charge. Smith and Warner haven’t really stood up to their brand of cricket and they are likely to do so today. While, for Pakistan, expect a big fifty from Babar or Rizwan. Rauf can be a useful bowler in the middle.
