IND vs AUS: The Australian team are going to stay in India even after the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. They will be locking horns with India in the five-match T20I series, to be played from 23rd November to 3rd December across 5 different venues. The series will also kick start the preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in June next year.
IND vs AUS: Matthew Wade to captain as Australia announces squad for T20I series against India after World Cup
Cricket Australia has announced the strong 15-member squad for the upcoming IND vs AUS series. Matthew Wade will be captaining the team in the absence of Pat Cummins, who has been rested. Apart from him, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Hazelwood and Cameron Green won’t feature.
Travis Head along with David Warner and Matt Short are the three desired openers in the team. Steve Smith also will be featuring in the series along with Glenn Maxwell Marcus Stoinis and keeper Josh Inglis, who are part of the Australian squad for the World Cup.
Australia has also named Tim David as a finisher in the team. The batter has played staggering well in the T20s over the past one year and will be crucial for the team. The bowling department of Australia for the IND vs AUS series will be a combination of two spinners and four seamers.
Adam Zampa and Tanveer Sangha are the two leg-spinners in the team. Maxwell is also expected to chip in with the ball along with them. The pacers in the team include Spencer Johnson, Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis and Jason Behrendroff.

IND vs AUS: Schedule of India vs Australia T20I series
The first IND vs AUS game will be played on 23rd November at Visakhapatnam followed by the second match to be played on 26th November in Thiruvananthapuram. The focus will then shift to the third game that will be played on 28th November in the 3rd T20I. The last two games of the series will be played on December 1st and December 3rd in Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively.
