IND vs AFG Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi | India vs Afghanistan ICC World Cup 2023

IND vs AFG: Rohit Sharma-led India and Hashmatullah-led Afghanistan will square off against each other in the 9th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The two Asian counterparts will battle in the contest scheduled to be played on 11 October at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. This post will walk you through the IND vs AFG Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

India started their campaign with a win beating Australia, while Afghanistan, in contrast, soundly lost their opening game against Bangladesh. India are in the top 4 of the World Cup 2023 Points table, meanwhile, Afghanistan are second last.

In the first match of the series, Afghanistan were humiliated by Bangladesh. Despite losing their opening match, Afghanistan wouldn’t want to alter their lineup just yet, even though an experienced left-arm wrist spinner like Noor Ahmad gives considerable value against a lineup that is primarily right-heavy.

On the other hand, having had an uphill battle in Chennai, Rohit Sharma would like his squad to keep their momentum and prepare for the emotionally packed weekend that is waiting on the other side. Afghanistan can serve as the ideal pre-test check as they are a formidable opponent in Asian conditions. Keep in mind that this game is also significant as it is worth precisely the same number of points as the one before it and the one after it.

Mohammed Shami, who recorded a hat-trick in this match four years ago, is a viable option on this surface, but India will need to be ready to forgo their depth in the batting order following a lackluster start against Australia. To that extent, they could think about replacing Shardul Thakur. Since being hospitalized, Shubman Gill is still not available and Ishan will open with Rohit.

Down below is the IND vs AFG Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi:

IND vs AFG Weather Forecast

IND vs AFG Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi | India vs Afghanistan ICC World Cup 2023
IND vs AFG Weather Forecast of Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi (weather.com)

Scorchy heat in Delhi and a real test of Athletes! According to weather.com, it is a hot and dry day with a mostly clear sky in the Capital city of India. The weather forecast shows zero possibility of rain during the game. The temperature of Delhi city will stay at 34°C for the most part of the day till the evening and drop further to 28°C at night.

There are 0% chances of rain throughout the day. Humidity is in a minimal range, hovering around 30-40%. Winds will gust toward the Northwest at the speed of ~10kmph during the day. Almost no rain interruption and we may enjoy a full 100-over game.

Pitch Report Of Arun Jaitley Stadium

Because of its dry surface and short boundaries, which make it easy for players to cross the boundary, the Arun Jaitley Stadium is ideal for batters. Eric Simons informed Cricbuzz that the pitch that is going to be used in the IND vs AFG is of black soil.

Spinners may also gain a lot from the pitch’s dryness as the game progresses. Teams who win the toss frequently choose to bat first and attempt to protect their total in light of these factors.

In the last match played here between Sri Lanka and South Africa, the former massacred the prior and registered a number of records in that match. South Africa scored 428 runs in 50 overs which shows this Delhi pitch is definitely going to be a batting paradise.

This article will lead you through the World Cup 2023 Points Table Updated (October 11) after Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, PAKISTAN on TOP 2, Highest Run Getter, Most Wickets, All Stats.

On a belter of a batting surface, Sri Lanka won the flip of the coin and opted to bat first. Riding on the back of two solid centuries, Sri Lanka posted 344 runs total in the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. World Cup 2023 Points Table Updated (October 10) after ENG vs BAN | Updated Team Standing, Most Runs, Most Wickets | ICC ODI World Cup 2023

World Cup 2023 Points Table: England claimed a clinical victory against Bangladesh by 137 runs in the 7th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at iconic HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala. This win helped England to climb up to the 5th spot replacing Bangladesh from the 4th position in the World Cup 2023 Points Table. We present you the World Cup 2023 Points Table Updated (October 10) after ENG vs BAN.

Bangladesh won the flip of the coin and invited England to bat first. They took the invitation with both their hands open and slaughtered the Bangladeshi bowling lineup to post 100 up in just 15 overs. Bairstow fell to Shakib after 52 and his departure let Joe Root enter the pitch. Root and Dawid Malan picked up the pace and together smacked a 151-run partnership in the next 20 overs.

Malan smoked the Tiger’s bowling unit and hit 140 runs off 107 balls and then got clean bowled by Mehidy Hasan. With Buttler, Brook, and Livingstone yet to come, a 400+ score was clearly visible but Bangladesh deployed an excellent comeback. Shoriful Islam in his third spell got rid of Buttler(20), Root(82), and Livingstone(0) which caused a break in the scoring rate.

England were 307 for 5 wickets down at 42 overs and in the next 8 overs, they could only manage to add 58 runs to the total. Shoriful Islam took 3 scalps and star spinner Mehidy Hasan grabbed 4 wickets. England posted a giant 364 runs score on board and asked Bangladesh to chase the given to win.

In response, Bangladesh got off to a wavering start by losing 4 early wickets. Reece Topley was added to the playing XI replacing Moien Ali and wreaked havoc in the Bangladeshi camp. Tanzid(1), Shanto(0), and Shakib(1), all fell prey to Topley whereas Mehidy(8) got eliminated by Woakes, and Bangladesh were left 49-4 in 9 overs. Veteran batter Litton Das and wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim then calmed the heat and took control.

Reece Topley came back with his second spell and this time he got Rahim down(51). Livingstone, Wood, and Rashid picked up a wicket each, and Sam Curren finished things off. England bowled out Bangladesh at 227 and won the match by 137 runs.

Bangladesh were 4th in the World Cup 2023 Points Table prior to this match and now they slipped down to 6th position in the World Cup 2023 Points Table.
