IND vs AFG ICC World Cup 2023: NO Shubman Gill for India vs Afghanistan game, India’s Likely playing 11 for IND vs AFG Match 9: Team India’s Young opener batter Shubman Gill continues to play a waiting game as he eagerly awaits to make maiden ICC World Cup 2023 appearance. Gill is again ruled out for India’s next World Cup 2023 game against Afghanistan on October 11 in Delhi.

Now that Shubman Gill has been confirmed ruled out by the BCCI for IND vs AFG fixture, left-arm batter Ishan Kishan will continue to open the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma.

Both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan had a forgettable outing against Australia, having being dismissed for a duck. While Ishan Kishan perished playing a fancy shot in the very first over of Mitchell Starc, Rohit Sharma played wrong line against Hazlewood, who trapped the Indian skipper in front of the three sticks.

Both batters would try to be more promising in the next game against Afghanistan on October 11. Below is Team India’s likely playing 11 for IND vs AFG game on Wednesday at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

India’s Likely Playing 11 for IND vs AFG Game

Ravichandran Ashwin replaced by Shardul Thakur could be the only change India is likely to make in its playing 11 for the game against Afghanistan, besides the forced one. Going by the nature of surface, Rohit Sharma and management might include a pace bowling all-rounder.

Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium staged a record breaking fixture between South Africa and Sri Lanka, a few days ago. The pitch was condusive to batting and if it remains same, then the Indian team may look to go with an extra batter.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Points Table Updated after India vs Australia, INDIA NOT IN TOP 4, Highest Run Getter, Most Wickets, All Stats

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Points Table Updated: Team India handed a crushing defeat to Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on October 8, to kickstart their World Cup 2023 campaign on a winning note. India won the contest against Australia by 6 wickets and grabbed two match points to open its account in the Points Table. This article will lead you through the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Points Table Updated after India vs Australia, INDIA NOT IN TOP 4, Highest Run Getter, Most Wickets, All Stats.

In what could be called a nervy start to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, India’s middle order was brought to the test in the first game itself by the Australians. In pursuit of a modest total of 200 runs, India lost three of its top four batters in just two overs. The team was pushed on the back foot right from the start.

Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc began the innings with a scalp of Ishan Kishan for a duck in the first over. In the second over, captain Rohit Sharma was trapped in front of the three sticks by Josh Hazlewood, to further put a dent in India’s innings. To make things worse, Shreyas Iyer threw his wicket in the final delivery of Hazlewood’s first over.

However, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul put up a solid partnership to keep the team in the hunt. Both the batters played the waiting game initially and then started to score runs slowly. Both the batters, in the meantime, brought up their half-centuries. While Virat Kohli was dismissed at a score of 85 runs, KL Rahul remained unbeaten at 97 and threw the winning punch on Australia. Team India won the game against Australia by six wickets.

Earlier in the game, Australia opted to bat first, however, their move turned out to be disastrous. The Aussies were blown away by the Indian bowlers, who not only bowled troubling lines but also restricted run flow to put continuous pressure on the Australians.

Opener David Warner and Steve Smith were the pick of the batters for Australia, who scored runs in the vicinity of 40s. Barring them no other batter looked settled against the Indian bowlers. Towards the end of the innings, pacer Mitchell Starc tried to add some handy runs to the team’s total. Australia managed just 199 runs before getting bowled out.

For India, Ravindra Jadeja scalped three wickets, two wickets each went in the bag of Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, while one wicket apiece was picked by Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin and Mohammad Siraj.

NZ vs NED Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium | New Zealand vs Netherlands ICC World Cup 2023

NZ vs NED: The stage is all set for the 6th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 where in form New Zealand will lock horns against the inexperienced Netherlands on October 9 (today) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The match is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM IST and here, we cover the NZ vs NED Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Netherlands may have lost their first game by an 81-run margin, but they gave Pakistan a scare and threatened a comeback at several stages during the match. The Scott Edwards-led team has already displayed signs of having the potential to be a giant-killing force on their day in just their first international match in four months.

Against one of the top teams in the world, they put up a fantastic all-around effort. While their bowling was strong, albeit inconsistent, their batting has been faltering lately despite being their strength. They’d seek an immediate solution to their problem.

In the tournament’s opening match, New Zealand easily defeated England regardless of missing the services of Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, and even Lockie Ferguson. It wasn’t just a one-time display of power. Only a week prior, they defeated Pakistan in Hyderabad’s first warm-up game, cruising through the 346-run chase.

They have achieved better success on flat surfaces with their low-risk strategy—one that comes naturally to their blueprint—than even teams like Pakistan and England did with a marginally more risky one. If the success keeps up, it could encourage other teams to adopt similar strategies sooner rather than later.

Down below is the NZ vs NED Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium:

NZ vs NED Weather Forecast

NZ vs NED | Match 6 of the ICC World Cup 2023 will take place on October 9 (Monday) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The play begins at 2:00 PM IST.

NZ vs NED Weather Forecast And Pitch Report Of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium | New Zealand vs Netherlands ICC World Cup 2023
NZ vs NED Weather Forecast of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (weather.com)

According to weather.com, it is an overcast, hot day with a partially cloudy sky in Hyderabad city of India. The weather forecast shows zero possibility of rain during the game. The temperature of Hyderabad city will stay at 33°C for the most part of the day till the evening and drop further to 27°C at night.

There are 0% chances of rain throughout the day. Around a ~2% chance of rain at around 8:00 PM. Humidity is in a moderate range, hovering around 40-60%. Winds will gust toward the Northeast at the speed of ~9kmph during the day. Almost no rain interruption and we may enjoy a full 100-over game.

PAK vs NED Pitch Report Of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

The pitches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium are anticipated to be batting paradises with lots of space for pacers to make an impression. A consistent and good bounce facilitates hitting and increases the possibilities for pacers. Chasing has been the preferred strategy, which increases the excitement of the event.

Honestly, there aren’t any such devils in the pitch. The optimal method for batting on these surfaces was demonstrated by Rizwan, Saud Shakeel, Vikramjeet, and de Leede. The warm-up games and PAK vs NED provided the bowlers with practically little help. If dealt with at the start, teams may easily score in the 350-run range.

IND vs AUS: KL-Kohli dominated as India Beat Australia by 6 Wickets | World Cup 2023

IND vs AUS: India started their World Cup 2023 campaign with a win against the 5 times World Champions Australia. India defeated Australia by 6 wickets at MA Chidambaram, Chennai to seat the first win of the home-soil World Cup. KL Rahul’s excellent 97* and Virat’s bossing 85 took India on top.

IND vs AUS Match Review

Australia Innings

Winning the toss, Australia opted to bat first which was the right decision as per the Chennai conditions. Cummins stated that they would aim to put a large total on board, but they failed to do exactly that. Indian bowlers were in the rhythm and never allowed the Australian batter to set in those 22 yards.

Bumrah was right on the money from the very first ball. He provided an early wicket to India sending back the dangerous Mitch Marsh for a 6-ball duck. Warner and Smith showed the experience after the early scalp and combined together for a 70-run partnership. Kuldeep Yadav came and sent him back to the pavilion when Warner started posing a threat.

Just after the wicket of Warner, skipper Rohit introduced Jadeja and he took Smith, Labuschagne, and Alex Carey within 10 balls! Australia were in deep trouble after 30 overs with 119 runs for 5 wickets. Kuldeep cleaned up Maxwell, Ashwin got Green and Bumrah-Siraj ended it all and India bundled out Australia just under 200.

India Innings

Slow pitch, just 200 to chase, in form Rohit and Co., and an underpressure Australian team; many would have thought India would win the match with domination but Australian bowlers stunned every Indian fan as they put India under immense pressure in just 10 balls of the second innings.

As Gill is unavailable due to medication and recovery, Ishan Kishan opened with Rohit Sharma and Starc had the ball in his hands. The fourth ball of the innings sent Kishan back to the pavilion for a golden duck. Definitely not the World Cup start Ishan Kishan would have been hoping for!

Hazlewood got the other end and took Rohit in the third ball and Shreyas Iyer in the last of the 2nd over and all of a sudden India were 2 for 3 down. The scoreboard looked more like a football scorecard than the cricket. Both Rohit and Shreyas went for a duck and now KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were in the crease.

KL and Kohli took time in the middle, absorbed the pressure, and calmed the condition first. They were cautious and active at the same time slowly cruising toward the target. Rahul and Kohli scored their fifties in 75 and 72 balls respectively. The inconsistency from the Australian spinners allowed Kohli and Rahul to rotate strikes and keep the scoreboard ticking.

When the whole India was looking for 48th ODI Hundred of Virat Kohli, Josh Hazlewood got Virat at 85 (116). India needed 33 runs to win when Hardik Pandya came to bat at number 5 and took charge against the Australian bowler. Though he missed his century by 3 runs, KL Rahul displayed an excellent and best possible batting show and finished match with a six.

India won the match by 6 wickets and as many as 8 overs left.
