Mathew Wade, Marnus Labuschagne, and Alex Carey are probable players who can come up and bat at Warner’s position for the team in remaining white-ball fixtures.

Australian opener David Warner who scored two back-to-back half-centuries in the first two-game got injured while fielding in the second ODI on Sunday. He quickly went for the scan and found out groin injury. Cricket Australia has already ruled out the opener batsman from the remaining white-ball fixtures against India. However, Cricket Australia prioritize the test side and wants Warner to be ready before the test series against India.

Aaron Finch on Warner’s replacement:

“We haven’t selected our team yet, but we have got a few options on our side. We have some options, Wadey in the side can be up for the side or Marnus comes up and opens the inning, Alex Carey has done a lot of it in the past,” cricket.com.au quoted Finch as saying.

“But our middle order has been playing really well over the last little while. That is what reflected in the scoreboard of being two-nil up in the series. You can look to experiment if you want to do that or you can play safe,” he added.

Finch praised Warner for his batting over the white ball format and reckons him as one of the best in the business of all time.

“He is an all-time great in one-day and T20 cricket. I do not think there are many better players to have played the game,” said Finch.

“Any side he is not part of is definitely going to be slightly weaker without his presence but we have few options available and we will look forward to use them.”

The home side has already won the series with 2-0 lead in the second game itslef while they will be exciented to clean sweep the visitors.

The major development coming up for the cricketing world as Shahrukh Khan to invest in the major T20 League in America. Kolkata Knight Riders and all stakeholders are keen on investing in the American Cricket Enterprise (ACE) as the US plans to launch the T20 league in 2022.

However, the Australian spinner could not make a valuable impact though he was given just a solitary chance against the defending champions. 

Green in his only appearance in IPL 2020 conceded 24 runs. To break into the final eleven for the upcoming IPL is also going to be tough for the Australian against the likes of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.

Dinesh Karthik:

Not an ideal season to experience for the former KKR skipper. He became the captain of KKR after the exit of Gautam Gambhir. Filling the shoes of two times title winner was not going to be easy but he did exceptionally good work in the first season. The next two seasons were not according to the standards of KKR. 

Citing “to focus in his batting,” Karthik stepped down from his captaincy, the official reason is yet to be revealed. Dinesh Karthik had a horrible thirteenth edition of IPL with the bat scoring just 169 in 14 outings.

The former Indian southpaw, Gautam Gambhir feels Virat Kohli has done a big blunder by giving his premier bowlers just two overs opening spell. Gambhir in talks with ESPNcricinfo opened about the mistakes committed by the Indian skipper in the first two ODIs.

Australia has already bagged the series with a 2-0 lead in the second game of the three-match ODI series. The home team won the first two games with a huge margin to clinch the series as well as 20 points in the ICC World Cup Super League Points Table.

Giving just 2 overs upfront is a tactical blunder : Gambhir

However, Gautam Gambhir who already talked about the captaincy change in the white-ball format told, giving your premier bowler just two overs opening spell has cost India the series. He cited the example of opposition skipper Aaron Finch, how he is using his lead bowlers and won the two games easily.

“If you have a pacer of Jasprit Bumrah’s caliber and you are giving him just two overs upfront. It is not a tactical mistake, it’s a tactical blunder,” Gambhir.

At least Kohli should give Shami and Bumrah five overs spell to get into the conditions and take wickets with the new ball.

“I was expecting, Jasprit Bumrah and Shami to bowl five overs spell upfront and try to get some couple of wickets. I don’t think there is any skipper in the world who would give Jasprit Bumrah just two overs with the new ball.”

Aaron Finch, David Warner and Steve Smith are all in their good touch if there is someone who can probably pick them up, that is Bumrah.

“All the top order Australian batsmen are in their prime form, who has the best chance of taking their wicket? Jasprit Bumrah,” he added.

“You just give them two overs in the opening spell and bring them back after 10 overs when the ball gets old. I think that’s the blunder and you should feel for these pacers, he too is human.”

Australian Success:

Gambhir then talked about Australian success in the first two ODIs against India.

“That’s impressive how Finch rotated his bowlers. He gave Josh Hazlewood, his premier bowler, six overs spell in the first game while five overs spell in the second. There comes the difference.”

“Aaron Finch also used his sixth bowlers nicely, between Marcus Stoinis and Maxwell in the first game while with Henriques and Maxwell in the second. When you have a sixth bowler to bowl 5-6 overs for you then you can probably cut down the overs from your frontline pacer who is having a bad day. That’s what Finch did with Mitchell Starc.”

The World Cup winning player then talked about Smith and Virat’s comparison.

You will probably say Virat is great in ODI and he is far ahead of anyone. But watching Smith’s numbers, he is not much behind.

“He (Smith) has scored 62 balls back to back hundreds. Obviously, you will call Kohli the greatest ODI player as per numbers but not much difference between him and Smith.”

Australian star opening batsman David Warner has suffered an injury during the series 2nd ODI at Sydney Cricket Ground. Cricket Australia has ruled out Warner for the final ODI match and the whole T20I series against India starting next month. Warner got injured during the fielding after his swashbuckling innings of 83 runs, sustaining the groin injury after which he was taken for the scan.

Warner will miss the final One Day International match against India and the whole Twenty20 series starting next month at Canberra. Cricket Australia will hope him to recover on time before the historic home Test series against India starting December 17.

 D’Arcy Shorts has been named his replacement for the T20I series. Shorts was the highest run-scorer of the T20 Big Bash League in 2017-18 and 2018-19.

The Australian Cricket board also announced that the pace spearhead will be rested for the limited-overs series against India to manage workload and pressure.

However, no replacement has been called for the senior pacer. Mitchell Starc who has been out of form in the first two ODIs will have to take the game forward along with Josh Hazlewood and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.

Starc conceded 65 runs in the first encounter while huge 82  in the game the hosts win by 51 runs.

Head Coach Justin Langer told, “Cummins and Warner are critical for the test side and we want them fully fit.”

“Warner will work through his groin injury which he sustained during the second game while in Pat’s case all of our players are managed well to keep them physically and mentally fit throughout.”

“Both the players are our priorities and are being fully prepared for the most important home Test Series we have played in recent years, especially with World Test Championship points up for grabs.”
