Flop XI of IPL 2020, MS Dhoni to lead the side, Finch and Russell. Dream11 IPL2020, Full flop show by the players. Flop XI of IPL 2020, MS Dhoni to lead the side, Finch and Russell.

Flop XI of IPL2020. Dream11 IPL 2020 is over, defending champions playing the final encounter against Delhi Capitals. Mumbai Indians won the tournament with a comfortable 5 wickets in hand and 8 balls to spare. The Defending Champians improved their record in UAE of losing all 5 games which were played by MI back in 2014. However, this time the mindset was totally different and changed, MI players looked more experienced and comfortable.

However, there were a lot of players who struggled to retain their form back. Some of the players who put flop show in Dream11 IPL 2020 is here. We made a list of 11 Players who were super flop during the whole season.

List of flop XI of IPL 2020:

AARON FINCH (RCB):

12 Games || 268 Runs || 52 H.S. || 22.33 Average || 111.20 Strike Rate.

The Royal Challenger opener batsman was thought to bring a lot of experience in the batting lineup and give a flying start to RCB. The Australian Limited over skipper was brought by RCB for 4.4 crore Rupees in the Auctions. But it looks like Finch did not play to the expectations. Aaron Finch in his 12 appearances scored just 268 runs with a strike rate of 111 and it just included a half-century.

Prithvi Shaw(DC):

13 Games || 228 Runs || 66 H.S. || 17.53 Average || 136.52 Strike Rate.

Delhi’s young Indian opener looked solid at the start of the Indian Premier League, however, Shaw tends to lose his control. Prithvi Shaw is known to give a good start to the team but the young did lose his touch as the tournament progressed. This is the major reason for Delhi’s failure. Shaw in his 13 innings scored just 228 runs with a strike rate of 136 and it just includes two half-centuries.

Dinesh Karthik(KKR):

14 Games || 169 Runs || 58 H.S. || 14.08 Average || 126.11 Strike Rate.

The KKR skipper, early in the season did not have a good start. However, failure in his batting led him to leave KKR’s leadership halfway. Karthik has probably had one of the worst seasons in IPL. KKR’s wicket keeper batsman managed to score just 129 runs from the 14 games he played, with a strike rate of 126 and managed to reach a half centuries in his 14 appearances.

Glenn Maxwell(KXIP):

13 Games || 108 Runs || 32 H.S. || 15.42 Average || 101.88 Strike Rate.

The Australian dangerous middle-order batsman known for his deadly innings however this time failed to create a single impact. Maxwell was brought by KXIP for whooping 10.75 crores but it did not pay off. Glenn Maxwell in his all 13 outings managed to get mere 108 runs with a strike rate of 106, which definitely is not justified to his caliber. A season to forget for Maxwell surely.

MS Dhoni(CSK):

14 Games || 200 Runs || 47* H.S. || 25.00 Average || 116.27 Strike Rate.

The CSK skipper has had a disastrous time in Dream11 IPL 2020. MS Dhoni took retirement from International cricket soon before the start of IPL and fans were excited to cheer for MS in IPL, but MS Dhoni did not looked comfortable. Not only Dhoni’s performance went down but the whole CSK did not disappointed the fans. Dhoni on his 12 innings in 14 outings managed to hit just 200 runs milestone with a strike rate of 116.

Kedar Jadhav(CSK):

8 Games || 62 Runs || 26 H.S. || 20.66 Average || 93.93 Strike Rate.

Another CSK batsman who would want to forget this season for his poor performance. Kedar Jadhav showed a full flop show in the 2020 edition of IPL. CSK sometimes got criticized for promoting Kedar Jadhav ahead of Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo. However, Chennai management kept playing with him for 8 matches in which he scores only 62 runs with a strike rate of below 100.

Andree Russell(KKR):

10 Games || 117 Runs || 25 H.S. || 13.00 Average || 144.44 Strike Rate.

10 Games || 6 Wickets || 2/29 B.B.F. || 9.72 Economy.

The West Indies’ muscle power looked helpless during the whole season. KKR management at times looked after Russell to give them a good score but Russell could not find his sweet spot. As a result, Andree Russell played 10 games for KKR and managed to score 117 runs with a strike rate of 144.

Sunil Narine(KKR):

10 Games || 121 Runs || 64 H.S. || 13.44 Average || 142.35 Strike Rate.

10 Games || 5 Wickets || 2/28 B.B.F. || 7.94 Economy.

Yet another nightmare for Kolkata Knight Riders fans and management, Sunil Narine struggled to find his pace. Narine was initially known for his bowling but Gautam Gambhir (Captain of KKR at that time) promoted him to open the innings. However, Narine did gave some flying start to the innings. This time it looked totally opposite of what they thought. KKR management shuffled Narine everywhere but he failed to do something big. Narine in his 10 appearances scored 121 runs with a strike rate of 142 and got a one-half century. Talking about the bowling, that too looked ordinary. Sunil Narine managed to pick just 5 wickets in 10 games he played.

Navdeep Saini(RCB):

13 Games || 6 Wickets || 2/25 B.B.F. || 8.29 Economy.

Royal Challenger Bangalore’s lead pace bowler had a bad time with the IPL 2020. Navdeep Saini who managed to keep batsman under control in the super over against Mumbai Indians, with the likes of Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya struggled at the later stages. Saini was benched by the RCB in some games due to his poor performances. The pacer played 13 games for RCB but just picked 6 wickets.

Jaydev Unadkat(RR):

7 Games || 4 Wickets || 2/32 B.B.F. || 9.91 Economy.

Jaydev Unadkat has been the familiar face who appeared in the list of flop 11 for the past few years. After a good start to the career, Unadkat could not pick his pace. Yet another time he is featured in the flop XI. Unadkat for RPS in 2017 performed phenomenally. After that, there is a downfall in his career. The RR bowler, Jaydev Unadkat in his 7 appearances managed 4 wickets with a poor economy rate of 9.9.

Kuldeep Yadav(KKR):

5 Games || 1 Wicket || 1/20 B.B.F. || 7.66 Economy.

A poor showdown by another Kolkata player. Kuldeep one of the best in the T20 games in present times had a poor time with the franchise. The left-arm bowler did not perform for KKR in the previous edition too. Kuldeep Yadav did not get many games due to his poor performances and in 5 appearances managed just a single wicket. This is definitely an alarming sign for the BCCI, as their lead bowlers are not in form.

Flop XI of Dream11 IPL 2020:

Aaron Finch (RCB), Prithvi Shaw (DC), Dinesh Karthik (KKR), Glenn Maxwell (KXIP), MS Dhoni (CSK), Kedar Jadhav (CSK), Andree Russell (KKR), Sunil Narine (KKR), Navdeep Saini (RCB), Jaydev Unadkat (RR), Kuldeep Yadav (KKR).

Best XI of Dream11 IPL 2020, Virendra Sehwag, Aakash Chopra and Scott Styris. Dream11 IPL is finally over and we have now got the best XI of IPL 2020. Best XI of Dream11 IPL 2020,  Virendra Sehwag, Aakash Chopra and Scott Styris.

Dream11 IPL 2020 is finally wrapped, with defending champions Mumbai Indians winning the tournament yet again. The Mumbai based franchise successfully chased the comfortable target with 8 balls to spare. Now the Mumbai skipper has 5 IPL titles under his best in just 8 seasons.

There were a lot of outstanding efforts from the players to lift their side up. However, we have made a list of the best players of Dream11 IPL 2020.

Best XI of Dream11 IPL 2020:

KL Rahul (KXIP): The man in form, Kannur Lokesh Rahul is been phenomenal throughout the tournament. KL Rahul despite not being on the winning side, scored the most runs for his team. He will be the captain of the best XI of Dream11 IPL 2020. Rahul from just 14 games scored 670 runs with a strike rate of 129.34 and includes a century and 5 half-centuries.
Quinton de Kock (MI): The South African Wicketkeeper, Quinten de Kock is also in the list of best XI of IPL 2020. Initially, de Kock was not in good form but after a few matches, he became the match-winner for his side, Mumbai Indians. He will be the wicketkeeper of the side. Quinton scored 503 runs from 16 games with a strike rate of over 140 and includes 4 half-centuries.
Surya Kumar Yadav (MI): SKY is always up and delivered for his team under pressure. Yadav in spite of not getting the chance to don the blue jersey for India, SKY has made a commendable effort to make his side win. Surya Kumar is a consistent performer for Mumbai Indians for the last 3 years. He has scored 503 runs from 16 encounters with a strike rate of 154 and includes 4 half-centuries.
AB de Villiers(RCB): Another South African batsman makes it to the list of Best XI in IPL 2020. AB de Villiers played some crucial knocks for his side. Mr 360 smashed 454 runs in 15 games with a strike rate of over 155 and it includes 5 half-centuries.
Ishan Kishan (MI): The uncapped Mumbai Indians player had a dream season this time. Kishan from being sluggish in the previous edition to being the highest run-scorer for his side in IPL 2020. Ishan Kishan is now also featured in the list of most runs in a season by an uncapped player. Ishan Kishan in his 13 innings scored 516 runs with a strike rate of 145.76 and it includes 4 half-centuries and one finishing on 99 runs.
Rahul Tewatia (RR): This might be a surprise for the people who watch IPL casually but this is not at all a surprising factor. Rahul Tewatia has been among the top performers for the Rajasthan Royals. Tewatia came into the limelight after hitting 5 sixes in one over off Sheldon Cottrell after a laggy start. However, Tewatia has performed above expectations for his team in whatever opportunities he got.
Rashid Khan (SRH): The Afghan spinner is always on the top list of players since his debut. Rashid Khan never fails to impress the crowd and his franchise with amazing skills and variations. He is the go-to bowler for any skipper if they need a breakthrough. Khan is one of the most prominent players of T20 games, there is no stopping for his cheerings. Rashid Khan in this season of Dream11 IPL 2020 played 16 games and took 20 wickets. Rashid Khan is the 6th highest wicket-taker in IPL 2020 and highest wicket-taker for his franchise, Sunrise Hyderabad.
Jofra Archer (RR): There was a competition between Trent Boult and Jofra Archer, whom to pick but Jofra wins the race as he was the MVP of the tournament. The English pacer has been fabulous with both bat and ball. Archer for Rajasthan Royals played 14 games and picked 20 wickets. Moreover, he was able to hold the batsmen silent throughout the tournament. The piece of cake to his career in IPL is his batting, Jofra can hit some good sixes at the end of the innings to give more stability.
Kagiso Rabada (DC): Rabada has continued his staller performance for Delhi Capitals yet again. The South African pacer is the 2nd most consistent bowler in the History of IPL after Dwayne Bravo. Kagiso Rabada picked 30 wickets in 17 games with an economy of 8.34. However, he holds the record of at least one wicket in the last 20 matches in the Indian Premier League.
Jasprit Bumrah (MI): The Indian bowling sensation and Mumbai Indians leading pace bowler yet another time proved why he is the best in the business. Jasprit Bumrah was out of the form in some initial games but as the tournament progressed Bumrah picked his pace and surprised the batsmen with his bowling. Bumrah is the second leading wicket-taker of IPL 2020 with 27 wickets in just 15 games and an economy of just 6.73. The economy rate of Bumrah justifies his bowling at the powerplays as well as at deaths.
Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB): The fearless spinner of Royal Challenger Bangalore makes his place in the best XI after his supreme effort with the bowling. He was the only stand out performer for RCb in bowling this time. Having picked 21 wickets in just 15 games, Yuzvendra Chahal controlled the game with his clever bowling skills. Chahal bowled with the economy of 7.08 that too sometimes in the death overs.

Virendra Sehwag’s Best XI of Dream11 IPL2020:

KL Rahul (KXIP), Devdutt Padikkal (RCB), Surya Kumar Yadav (MI), Virat Kohli (RCB), David Warner (SRH), AB de Villiers (RCB), Rashid Khan (SRH), Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB), Kagiso Rabada (DC), Jasprit Bumrah (MI), Mohammed Shami (KXIP).

Scott Styris best XI of Dream11 IPL 2020:

David Warner (SRH), KL Rahul (KXIP), Surya Kumar Yadav (MI), Virat Kohli (RCB), Ishan Kishan (MI), Rahul Tewatia (RR), Kagiso Rabada (DC), Jofra Archer (RR), Jasprit Bumrah (MI), Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB), Rashid Khan (SRH).

Aakash Chopra’s Best XI of Dream11 IPL 2020:

KL Rahul (KXIP), Shikhar Dhawan (DC), Ishan Kishan (MI), Suryakumar Yadav (MI), AB de Villiers (RCB), Rahul Tewatia (RR), Rashid Khan (SRH), Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB), Jofra Archer (RR), Jasprit Bumrah (MI), Kagiso Rabada (DC).

Rohit Sharma to be India’s Limited over Captain (T20I and ODI)

0

Rohit Sharma to be India’s Limited over Cricket (T20I and ODI). The Indian opener to be India’s White ball captain. The Mumbai skipper, Rohit Sharma to be India’s Limited over Cricket (T20I and ODI).

Rohit Sharma’s 5th IPL title:

Rohit Sharma recently led Mumbai Indians to the fifth title of the Indian Premier League and a consecutive second title. The Mumbai Skipper is the only captain to lift IPL titles 5 times as a captain and Rohit also holds the record for winning the IPL Title most number of times. Rohit is on the IPL winning side six times. 5 times for Mumbai Indians as a captain and one time with Deccan Chargers as a player.

After the brilliant leadership to guide his team to straight 5th title in 8 seasons, Rohit came into the limelight of being the supreme manager and leader for his team. The cricket experts went wild to praise the skipper for winning the title 5th time. The cricketing fraternity wants India to make Rohit Sharma as their white-ball Capitan.

Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir on Rohit Sharma:

The former Indian explosive opener Gautam Gambhir said, Rohit is the most destructive batsman and a strategist Leader. He should be appointed as India’s White ball captain.

If Rohit Sharma doesn’t become India’s captain, it’s India’s loss, not Rohit’s,” Gambhir told ESPNCricinfo.

Yes, a captain is only as good as his team and I completely agree with that, but what are the parameters to judge a captain on who is good and who isn’t? The parameters and benchmark should be the same. Rohit has led his team to five IPL titles,” Gautam Gambhir.

Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals in the final fo Dream11 IPL 2020 by five wickets and won the Indian T20 League for the 5th time.

We keep saying MS Dhoni is India’s most successful captain. Why? Because he has won two World Cups and three IPLs,” Gambhir said.

Rohit has won five IPL titles, he is the most successful captain in the history of the tournament. Going forward, it’ll be a shame if he doesn’t get India’s white-ball or just T20 captaincy.”

Former English skipper, Michael Vaughan on Rohit Sharma:

The former English skipper took no time to praise Mumbai Indians, Skipper Rohit Sharma over his superb captaincy. He took Twitter to applaud and congratulate Mumbai Indians on their 5th title win.

Vaughan reckoned, Rohit Sharma should be handed over the T20I leadership. He also said it will give chances to Virat to handle the workload easily and focus more as a player.

Without question, Rohit Sharma should be the Indian T20 captain. Fantastic man-manager & leader and he knows exactly how to win T20 games. It would also give Virat a chance to take a breather and just be the player. It works for all other teams around the world.”

The Kangaroo Cricket Board on Wednesday announced the Test Squad against India for the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Border Gavaskar Trophy will play its opener on 17th December onwards in Adelaide Oval, Adelaide. Australia and India will play a 4 matches Test Series in late 2020 and early 2021.

Young Talents in the Test Squad :

Australia Cricket Board included some young talents to their Red Ball Squad, which includes Victorian Pucovski, Cameron Green, Mitchell Swepson, Sean Abbott and Michael Neser. Victorian Pucovski, Cameron Green and Sean Abbott are reportedly the potential debutants for Australia in the 1st test against India.

Due to the tough times, Cricket Australia announced a larger than usual squad for the Test Series against India to ensure fast replacements, if needed.

Victorian Pucovski was about to make his debut in the Australia squad for Pakistan Series last year but later before naming the squad, the 22 year Old asked to drop him due to issues related to mental health. Later, this year, Pucovski bounced back with the back to back double tons in Sheffield Shield.

Cameron Green is one of the leading run-getters in the Sheffield Shield Tournament. Green scored 363 runs at an average of 72.60 in just four games and it includes a big 197 runs knock. Earlier this month, Cameron Green was also named in Australia Squad for T20I against India.

National Selector Trevor Hons on young Talents:

Two of the many standout players (this season) were, of course, Cameron Green and Will Pucovski. Their undeniable form demanded selection and we are very pleased to have these young men in the squad for what will be a tremendous Test Series against an extremely formidable opponent,” Hohns said in a statement.

Cameron has already won selection in the white-ball squad and continues that in joining the Test squad. He is a wonderful young talent who has great potential to become an allrounder of substance over time. His batting alone has demanded his place in the squad.

The extended 19-man Australia A squad is also named to play against India A and India in the practice tests. Extended 19 man squad also includes the young talents including- Green, Abbott, Pucovski, Burns, Swepson and others.

Australia Squad for Tests:

David Warner, Will Pucovski, Joe Burns, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Matthew Wade, Cameron Green, Tim Paine (captain), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson, Michael Neser, Mitchell Swepson, Sean Abbott.

After the end of the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League on Tuesday, 10 November – Mumbai Indians win the Dream11 IPL 2020 title against Delhi Capitals. This looked like a one-sided encounter as the defending champions beat DC by 6 wickets and 8 balls to spare. For Delhi, skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant scored crucial half-centuries. In response to that, Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma also scored a well-crafted half-century and guided his team to the victory.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now planning to add 2 more team to the Indian Premier League. There will be mini auction only before IPL 2021.

Updates on IPL 2021:

However, reportedly, the BCCI has already begun the planning and preparations of IPL 2021. The BCCI is looking to feature two new teams in the next edition of the Indian Premier League which is to be played in early 2021. But now in BCCI AGM it’s decided to add new teams before IPL 2022.

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly in an interview said that IPL 2021 will take place from April to May. The BCCI is also keen on bringing the T20 tournament back to India for the next edition of IPL if the COVID scenes are good enough to conduct IPL and Vaccine will be in place. However, UAE will be kept as a backup option, said Sourav Ganguly, BCCI President.

New development on IPL new teams, BCCI sources said that due to the tight timeline new team might be added in 2022 only. Also, there is a bigger change to have Mini auction only before IPL 2021 where teams can bid for new players.

IPL 2021 Auction date – 11 February 2021.

New Team in IPL 2021:

As per the reports from various sources, the new franchise might be based on Ahmedabad city. BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly had previously hinted for the addition of a new team. It seems that hint looks to be true.

The addition of the ninth team to IPL 2021 is learned to be a strategical move by BCCI. Previously, due to COVID, BCCI struggled to find the title sponsor after VIVO backed out due to anti-China sentiments. In the meantime, BCCI found the title sponsor as Dream11 but the bidding amount was not enough to carry the load. In response to low bidding, the BCCI halved the prize money to the franchises, which they get after winning the title.
