IPL2020: Match 51 MI vs DC – Preview, Prediction, Probable11 and Fantasy Tips. Dream11 IPl2020 Match no 51 MI vs DC – Match Preview, Prediction, Probable 11, Fantasy Tips, Who will win?

Mumbai Indians(MI) will take on Delhi Capitals(DC) in the first match of the Super Saturday doubleheader. The match will be hosted at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Saturday, 31st October 2020. The match will begin at usual day timing i.e., 15:30 IST (10:00 GMT), 14:00 LOCAL. This will be the second encounter of both the teams in this edition of IPL. Chennai winning the last ball thriller yesterday against Kolkata Knight Riders benefitted Mumbai Indians, Mumbai have qualified for Playoffs. Now onwards every match has its own significance and the results will impact the campaigns for Playoffs of the other 6 teams. Previously when DC and MI met, Mumbai registered a comfortable win over Capitals by 5 wickets.

Mumbai Indians(MI):

There is nothing to worry about for Mumbai Indians. Chennai’s last night win placed Q before Mumbai Indians’ name. Mumbai Indians as a team have evolved a lot. Every single match produces different match winners. Mumbai as a team does not depend on a single player. As a unit, they are comfortable and unbeatable right now.

Mumbai Indians have got quality bench strength. Despite not playing with their regular skipper and opener other players of the team stepped up to play the role and they have done it beyond expectations. Ishan Kishan performing brilliantly in giving a good start to the side in absence of Rohit Sharma while Kieron Pollard Stand-in skipper made sure that the team doesn’t feel left out in absence of the regular skipper.

The last win over Royal Challenger Bangalore by 5 wickets must have boosted their confidence. There is nothing much to worry about for the team and management. It is pretty much clear they will finish in the top 2 in the Points table, thanks to the Net Run Rate and their performance.

Delhi Capitals(DC):

Delhi Capitals CelebratingDC
Delhi Capitals (DC) (Image Source- BCCI/IPL)

Things are not looking good for the Capitals this time. Start of the Tournament, they were one of the fan favorites and looked pretty much balanced. Things have changed now. Dynamics aren’t similar for the Delhi capitals. The last three games were not good for DC. They have lost all of them, they desperately need to win to make sure they finish somewhere at top 4.

The skipper of Delhi Capitals has lost his touch in recent times, the same goes for Marcus Stoinis. Marcus Stoinis who played the role of match-winner in the first few games by performing brilliantly both with bat and ball isn’t doing well in the recent past. Shikhar Dhawan scored 2 brilliant back to back centuries but was dismissed for a duck in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Kagiso Rabada who had a streak of picking at least one wicket in the last 20-25 games has broken his streak. He went wicketless in the last game and was smashed all over the park.

Delhi Capitals needs to make sure that they do not depend on any one player. As a team, they need to bounce back and will be eager to come hard against Mumbai. They will be eyeing to take revenge for their last defeat against Mumbai Indians earlier in the season.

Head to Head (MI vs DC):

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals faced each other 25 times, Mumbai leads the faceoff by 13 victories in 25 matches, while Delhi has registered 12 wins.

Probable 11(MI vs DC):

Mumbai Indians(MI): Rohit Sharma / Saurabh Tiwary, Quinten de Kock, Ishan Kishan, Surya Kumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, James Pattinson, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar.

CSK vs KRR: Chennai Hammered Kolkata Knight Riders’ Chances of Playoffs

CSK VS KKR: Chennai hammered Kolkata Knight Riders’ chances of Playoffs. Match no 49: Dream11 IPL 2020 Chennai hammered Kolkata Knight Riders’ Playoff campaign.

Match Highlights:

Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets in the 49th Match of Dream11 IPL 2020. Dubai International Stadium hosted the match and it turned out to be the last ball thriller. Ruturaj Gaikwad (72 of 53 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (31 of 11 balls) starring with the bat for Chennai Super Kings. Ravindra Jadeja held his nerves till the last ball of the game helped Chennai Super Kings win the encounter by 6 wickets.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to ball first. KKR openers looked solid at the start, Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana scored 53 runs before the first wicket. Shubman Gill scored 26(17) runs, Nitish Rana played his career-best innings of 87(61) which includes 10 boundaries and 4 maximums. Sunil Narine scored 7(7), Rinku Singh 11(11) and skipper Eoin Morgan 15(12) went cheaply off Santner, Jadeja and Lungi Ngidi respectively. A late cameo from Dinesh Kartik 21(11) helped KKR reach 172-5 in 20 overs.

CSK could not provide an ideal start as Opener Shane Watson failed to impress. Shane Watson 14(19) was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy. Young Ruturaj Gaikwad played beautifully 72(53) which includes 6 fours and 2 sixes. Ambati Rayudu 38(20) with 5 fours and 1 six dismissed by Pat Cummins. MS Dhoni once again could not finish innings for his side. He was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy. Some wrist movement from Ravindra Jadeja at the end helped Chennai dent KKRs’ playoffs hope. His unbeaten 31(11) which includes 2 sixes of the last 2 balls ensured that good innings from Ruturaj didn’t go in vain.

Post Match Presentation:

Eoin Morgan Post Match KKR vs CSK
Eoin Morgan KKR skipper CSK vs KKR (Image – BCCI/IPL)

Eoin Morgan, KKR skipper: I think we played really well there, just on the wrong side of the toss. The dew from about the 8th over was really challenging. We improved on our batting (as compared to the previous games). Our bowlers absolutely gave it their everything. We have one game left, and still have a very little chance. We felt we were right in the game (at the halfway stage). Nitish Rana kicked on and showed his class once again. It was actually a good day for us with the bat. They (Narine and Varun) are two fantastic spinners. I can’t fault anyone’s effort tonight. He (Nagarkoti) didn’t have enough runs to defend. He’s a young guy, he will take it on the chin and move forward. Looking forward to the next game against Royals.

Ravindra Jadeja against KKR hitting six
Ravindra Jadeja CSK (Image Source – BCCI/IPL)

Ravindra Jadeja: I was hitting the ball well in the nets and kept thinking about that and I managed to do that in the match. We (me and Curran) were talking about going after the bowlers, and in the last 12 balls you don’t think much. Just see the ball and hit the ball. I was looking to not loose my shape, and I knew if they bowled in my arc, I could hit a six. Winning every game always means a lot to us.

MS Dhoni Post Match CSK VS KKR
MS Dhoni CSK Image (Source-BCCI/IPL)

MS Dhoni, CSK skipper: I think it was one game in which the climax went in our favour. Lot of credit to the guys. This season he (Jadeja) has been fantastic. He has been the only one in our team who has scored in the death overs. He needed somebody else and that would have been good for us. We want to give games to people who haven’t played. Ruturaj has shown the talent that he is. He came in and got positive with Covid. We didn’t have much time to have a look at him. He is one of the talented youngsters going around. He is not someone who speaks a lot. Once you go inside, you are the only one handling the pressure. When we made him play the first game, he stepped out and got out. But one ball is never enough. I think it is very exciting how he has grabbed his chances. It is very important to be relevant in the tournament. It was very important for us to give it our best. We are not in a position to qualify for the next stage but we have had a glimpse of people who can play for us in the coming seasons.

CSK vs KKR IPL 2020 Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ruturaj Gaikwad (Image Source BCCI/IPL)

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Man of the Match: It is feeling good. Pretty confident as well. I have backed myself. Both the innings when I got out early, I knew the situation was a little tough. Covid has made me tough. As our captain says, face every situation with a smile. I stayed positive and didn’t think much about the future.

The KL Rahul led KXIP is on fire in all departments. Their initial games were not up to the mark but they have capitalised on their weaknesses and worked on it. Right Now they are at the peak of their performance. With the inclusion of Chris Gayle to the side they have flourished. Chris Gayle is featured in 5 matches till now and KXIP has won all of them. Chris Jordan on the other hand is providing depth in the bowling unit along with Arshdeep Singh and Mohd. Shami. Opening for KXIP is a big advantage. The openers KL Rahul and Mayank Aggarwal/Mandeep Singh are in good form. They have made sure that they put a good total on the board.

Rajasthan Royals

KXIP is on winning streak from last five games. They have made a huge jump from the bottom of the table to the top 4. On the other hand, RR will also be High in confidence as they defeated defending Champians Mumbai Indians by 8 wickets in their last encounter. Rajasthan Royals are at 7th spot, having won 5 matches out of 12. They definitely need to win to keep their Playoffs campaign alive. Some good signs from their players, Sanju Samson back in form scoring half-century in last game. Ben Stokes scored a brilliant century and took his side to victory. Their bowling unit is performing decently in past few games.

Pitch in Abu Dhabi supports a little bit more to the batsman. Ball come onto bat nicely, bowlers have struggled to pick wickets in powerplay and death. Runs are scored all over the park in the powerplays and in death. Chasing the total will be a wise option as the stats say in recent past.

Josh Philippe comes in for Aaron Finch, Shivam Dube comes in for Moeen Ali and Dayle Stein comes in for Navdeep Saini. Bangalore openers did pretty well by scoring 50 runs under Power Play. Josh Philippe scored 33 of 24 balls while his opening partner scored a brilliant 74 of 45 balls. Other than these two no batsman could score more than 20 runs. Rahul Chahar made the opening for Mumbai by taking the wicket of Josh Philippe in the 7th over. Mumbai came to bat with Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan, both looked solid at the start but inform Mohd. Siraj sends de Kock to the dugout in his first over itself. Later on, Chahal dismissed set Ishan Kishan when he was at 25 runs. Surya Kumar stood up on the other end and played good cricket. Saurabh Tiwary, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya also went cheaply of Mohd. Siraj, Chahal and Chris Morris respectively. Post Match Presentation:

Virat Kohli | RCB (losing) captain: It was a strange phase of batting (the last five overs of the RCB innings). Everything went to the fielders and these kind of things happen. They bowled in good areas in the last 5 overs and stopped us 20 runs short. We were in the game until the 17th over and that was a decent effort by our bowlers. It’s basically up to the gut of the captain and the conditions, we thought Dale and Morris for initial swing, and Washy in the powerplay. We needed a few wickets there, but their batsmen did a good job. This is always going to happen – some teams peak early and some do better later. As we can see, the teams in the lower half are turning out some really good performances now. When it’s a top-two clash, it will always be intense and in a competition like the IPL, you can’t expect any team to back down and be blown away.

Kieron Pollard | MI (winning) captain: I try to analyze. I got the wicket of ABD. We can’t just depend on Bumrah. But we would want other guys to step up as it is a team game. We lost a few wickets but Surya took us home. Imagine, someone coming in at that number and batting at that strike rate despite a wicket going down. The most he can do is continue performing for us. As an individual if you continue to be consistent, the rewards will come. I have always done what the team wants me to do. If the team performs well, I am happy.

Suryakumar Yadav | Man of the Match: I was looking to finish the game. I was looking to learn what my game is. Happy to have finished it. Lot of meditation has helped. One over cover to Chahal and the back foot punch off Steyn were my favorites. I have worked on my game during the lockdown. I used to love playing on the on-side before. Pleased to have finished the game. The team management and Rohit told me before the start of the tournament that you have played enough to take the game deep. I am glad I have been able to do it.

Chennai Super Kings performance is a big disappointment for the fans and management as they failed to qualify for playoffs for the first time in 13 years. As they are already out of playoffs race their won’t be any pressure and additional expectations. They might look for the change in the squad. Whereas KKR is still in the race of Playoffs, they desperately need to win all games in order to qualify for playoffs.

Match no. 47 of Dream11 IPL was held in Dubai International Stadium is won by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sunrisers desperately needed to win to keep their Playoffs campaign alive. SRH thrashed Delhi Capitals by massive 88 runs to keep their hopes alive for the business end of the tournament. With this massive win, SRH jumped to 6th spot with a run rate of +0.396 leaving behind Rajasthan Royals.

Earlier, Delhi won the toss and invited SRH to bat first. David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha gave a perfect start to the Sunrisers by scoring 107 together in 9.4 overs. David Warner scored 66 of 34 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 194.12 while Wriddhiman Saha did no less than Warner. He scored 87 of 45, hitting 12 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 193.33.

At the end of the innings, a little cameo from Manish Pandey came in handy for SRH to post a total of 219-2 (20). Manish Pandey scored 44 of 31 with 4 boundaries and 1 six. Kane Williamson scored 11 of 10.

Sunrisers never have DC a chance to come back in the game. Sunrisers with the ball too were outstanding. Sandeep Sharma picked Shikhar Dhawan for a duck. Shahbaz Nadeem got Marcus Stoinis cheaply, Shimron Hetmyre was dismissed by Rashid Khan. With all these wickets under power play, Delhi Capitals were in backfoot. Later on, Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed by Rashid Khan, Shreyash Iyer was caught by Vijay Shankar, Axer Patel went cheaply credits to Rashid Khan. Then there was no way of fighting back and coming back in the game.

As a result, Sunrisers won the game by a huge margin of 88 runs and kept their playoff race alive. Sunrisers with this win improved their Net Run Rate which was initially negative but it has now changed to +0.396. Sunrisers have now 5 wins in their bag after 12 matches.

Wriddhiman Saha was given the Man Of The Match Award for his 87 of 45.

Post Match Presentation:

Shreyas Iyer | DC (Losing) captain: Definitely a big loss for us but you can’t really bog down at this point of time. We still have two games left but one win is really important, that’s what we are waiting for since the last three games. Back-to-back losses is definitely going to put us under the pump. The boys are really strong, really motivated and this loss is definitely going to motivate us. We lost the game in the powerplay itself. Getting 70 runs in the first six overs was really commendable and the way they went after our bowlers was amazing. We need to have that strong and positive mindset. These losses are not going to put us down. As a team, we have been doing amazing throughout so these few matches shouldn’t get into our heads. Next match, we’ll see to it that we have done our studies right, we’ll also see to it that we are putting in our best efforts on the field. It’s really difficult to judge what to do on this wicket because it keeps changing any time, so the best thing is to lose the toss. I was contemplating whether to bat or to bowl, unfortunately I won the toss (laughs). We decided that the dew factor will play a massive role, but the ball was stopping a bit. It was really difficult to get off to a great start. We discuss a lot about the opposition’s batsmen and we try to execute our plans when we are on the field but it was unfortunate that we didn’t do great today. The start which they got completely changed the momentum towards them and from there to get to 219 was a commendable performance. Any team can surprise anyone in this tournament, all teams are pretty much equal and you can’t underestimate anyone especially at the business end. We’ll stay positive, we’ll have a strong mindset. Going forward, Mumbai Indians and RCB they are good teams but we have beaten RCB once and we still gotta win against Mumbai . It’s going to be a good competition against them and really looking forward for a great win in the next one.

Nothing much of note for the Capitals, as even the desperate attempts from Pant and Rahane failed to get them close. Rashid Khan was clinical, as usual, recording his best figures in this IPL. Seventeen dot balls. Seventeen. If a team is fearful of going after you, particularly in a 220-run chase, you can give yourself a pat on the back. The remainder of the bowlers executed their plans well too, and were duly rewarded with spoils to wrap up a complete team performance. Presentations coming up in a bit.

Wriddhiman Saha | Man of the Match: I got the opportunity for the second time this year and took my chances in the powerplay. Initially the ball was holding a bit but I took my chances and went after it after the pitch eased out. I’m happy I got selected for the Tests in Australia. We are looking forward to win the last two matches for the Sunrisers and that’s our target now.

David Warner | SRH (winning) captain: The game before, we were disappointed with that chase. We defended last game, and with two world-class bowlers in Nortje and Rabada we decided to go after it. I went a little 2009 and opened my front leg to take it on. I took a bit of responsibility at the top of the order, and take it to the bowlers. It’s tough to play orthodox cricket in these conditions, so I have to open up 360 degrees. Difficult decision to leave Jonny out and get Saha in, and especially batting a batsman like Kane at 4. Incredible knock from Saha though and his strike-rate in the powerplay was incredible. Unfortunately he’s got a little groin niggle but hopefully it isn’t too bad. Shankar has a hamstring issue as well. As for Rashid, it is incredible that he’s he’s taking so many wickets and not going for runs, especially given the dew and the moisture here. We’ve got games at Sharjah to go so hopefully we can put on a show there.

The action will start at 7:30 PM (India Time) on Wednesday where Mumbai Indians will be taking on Royal Challenger Banglore for the second time in this edition of Dream11 IPL 2020.

Both the teams are at comfortable positions in the points table. Mumbai Indians(MI) is at the top whereas Royal Challenger Banglore (RCB) is at no. 3. Both the teams’ MI and RCB have played 11 matches each and have managed to win 7. Talking about points both teams equals with 14 points each. The only thing that puts Mumbai Indians(MI) at top of the table is Net Run Rate(NRR). Mumbai’s net run rate is +1.252 while Banglores net run rate is +0.092.

Mumbai Indians last 5 matches recorded 3 wins and 2 losses, the same goes with Royal Challenger Banglore. The last time when both teams came together in IPL 2020 match went on to Super Over which was eventually won by RCB.

Royal Challenger Banglore:

This edition of Dream11 IPL is not usual for RCB. RCB looks solid throughout. There is no margin of change in the final 11 for RCB. They are all in good form and contributing their bit to teams’ success.  The inclusion of Chirs Morris into the 11 strengthened the bowling unit along with Navdeep Saini, Isuru Udana, Yuzu Chahal and Washington Sundar. Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers are all in great touch.

Mumbai Indians:

On the other hand, Mumbai Indian is no less than Royal Challenger Banglore. Mumbai had a tough time when they last played in UAE, they lost all 5 matches played by them in 2014. But things have changed now, circumstances aren’t the same. There is a quality experience in the squad. Having won 4 titles, Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Skipper) has gained a lot of experience.

This time Mumbai Indians is doing great by winning 7 matches out of 11 played by them. They are sitting at the top in Points Table. Everyone in the team has contributed to team success. Every match Mumbai has produced different Key Players. Everyone is in good touch. The only problem for Mumbai Indians is their Skipper Rohit Sharma is Unwell for the past few days and has missed 2 games already. That’s a bit of a concern for Mumbai other than that team looks solid.

MI and RCB have faced each other 25 times in the IPL so far and the four-time champion Mumbai leads by a huge margin of 16-9 victories.
