Rishabh Pant or Wriddhiman Saha, Sourav Ganguly hinted, who will play. India vs Australia: which wicketkeeper batsmen will get to play. Rishabh Pant or Wriddhiman Saha, Sourav Ganguly hinted, who will play.

Rishabh Pant or Wriddhiman Saha:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India president, Sourav Ganguly in conversation with PTI talked about India’s available wicketkeeping options. Ganguly said,” Rishabh and Wriddhiman Saha are India’s two best Wicketkeeper batsmen right now.”

The Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant could not found his touch throughout the whole T20 League. However, the southpaw scored a brilliant half-century to bring his team back into the game after quick three wickets in the final of IPL 2020.

Don’t worry. His bat swing will come back. He is a young guy and all of us need to guide him. He’s got tremendous talent. He will be fine,” Ganguly told PTI.

On asking whether the southpaw will get the opportunity to play against Australia or Wriddhiman Saha will be seen wearing gloves, but the president remained on the safer side without disclosing the name.

Only one can play, so whoever will be in the best form will play,” Ganguly told.

Wriddhiman Saha for Sunrisers Hyderabad came as a lifesaver. He featured in few games and put his team on the right track scoring phenomenal innings back to back before getting injured.

Saha played just 4 games and scored huge 214 runs at the monstrous average of 71.33 and Hitting at 139.86.

Australian Challenge to India:

According to Sourav Ganguly, the test series against Kangaroos will be challenging.

Australia in Australia is really tough. Players like Steve Smith and David Warner will provide much strength to the side. Marnus Labuschagne has become a lot better with the given time. It will be a good test of India, but they are capable of winning,” Ganguly said.

India’s pace attack is as good as Australians. We have Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, and Mohd. Shami to lead the attack. Our pacers can challenge the kangaroos.”

India and Australia will lock horns for the Test series from 17 December onwards. Four matches test series will be played. This series will carry huge importance, it will be counted in ICC World Test Championship.

India has already slipped down to number two in the points table after the implementations of New Rules by ICC while Australia jumped to the first spot.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India is in talks with Cricket Australia to relax the travel protocols for the senior cricketers. As per the reports, if the travel restrictions are relaxed, then both the players can reach on time before the second and final tour game against Australia A in Sydney. Australian Government has made a mandatory protocol to undergo the 14 days quarantine after international travel.

BCCI in talks with CA:

Although the government has made the rules mandatory for the peoples, there are certain exemptions which are listed in the exemption category. The Australian Government’s health advisory as listed in the government website says, “The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) recognizes some other travelers should be exempt from quarantine requirements as long as they take steps to mitigate risk. These travelers must apply for a quarantine exemption in line with state and territory requirements.”

Both sides are looking for relaxation from the government. The BCCI in UAE successfully negotiated with the UAE government for the relaxation in the rules for Australian and English Players who attended the tournament a bit late. However, the BCCI officials feel that this time too we will successfully pull off things with Australian respective sides.

Aakash Chopra on Rohit Sharma to take T20I Captaincy from Virat. The former Batsman opens up about the controversy between Rohit and Virat’s T20I captaincy. Aakash Chopra on Rohit Sharma to take T20I Captaincy from Virat.

The former batsman Aakash Chopra on 24th November shared his thoughts on the controversial issue of split captaincy for Team India. Chopra on his Facebook video relating to the rift said that at least till the T20 World Cup captaincy should not be changed.

The respectable commentator brought the light into the fact that a sudden change in a leadership role for Team India’s T20I side can damage the progress and it can cost us the ICC T20 World Cup. The dates for the world cup are yet not decided but it will be conducted from October to November 2021.

“Rohit Sharma is a fantastic Captain, his records are mind-boggling in the Indian Premier League. There is no doubt about him.”

Aakash talked about the leadership roles and his trophies collection which he won from IPL as a captain and as a player.

Win Percentage of Rohit and Virat:

“He has won as many as five IPL Titles, he is incredible. Rohit has a record win percentage of 60. He is known to win playoffs, he knows the trick in the finals and if you talk about batting you can see his records.”

“Is this the right time to change the roles with respect to team India’s perspective?”

Talking about the comparison of both player’s IPL records, he lauds the Mumbai Indians skipper. Virat has not won half of the matches and it is clear from the tables which we have.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli |||

“There is a lot of difference in IPL captaincy records between the two players. Virat has a win percentage of just 47, means half of the matches he has lost.”

“Rohit Sharma as an IPL captain, his pedigree as a captain, his tactical acumen as a captain is beyond doubt. It is established he is a superb captain.”

The commentator asked a few questions regarding the two captains. Both the players are India’s gem and they have proved it anyhow. But is this the right space to make changes, the former batsman asked?

Is this right time to Change?

“Is this the right time for him to get the roles changes? The second his, What wrong has Virat done for India?”

“Virat Kohli as an India Captain, he has won 17 matches out of 20 in recent times. It is a whopping 85% win ratio and that’s a phenomenal number to have. Whitewashed New Zealand in their home, defeated England.”

He also took the practicality about the next some months. India will play the T20 World cup in October and it is roughly 11 months. India will play not more than 6-7 T20I matches in between removing the IPL. Rohit is not playing in the three T20Is which are played in Australia, how will he manage the side.

“It will be unfair for Kohli to get removed on the basis of IPL records. His International records are not bad to get removed as a captain. He has not lost any T20I world championship.”

“Also, in Rohit’s perspective, it will not be fair to hand him over the team when you are too close to the World Cup. How will he manage to change the team just ahead of the World Cup.”

Aakash Chopra closed the topic by saying,” Virat should lead the side at least till ICC World Test Champianship, then if he loses the title then you can opt for Rohit as a captain. But if he wins the tournament then you have to stick with Virat.”
