The thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League was no doubt one of the nail-biting tournaments ever. Teams fought for mere two points to get to the business end of the League. The cash-rich Indian T20 League, however, came out to be the stress buster in these tough times for the fans all over the world.

Indian Premier League ended on 10th November with defending champions, Mumbai Indians yet again proving its metal in the league for the record 5th time. After the wrap of the league, the preparations for the upcoming season has already begun. 

Roughly 4 months are left for the most awaited tournament and the boards is looking for the expansion of IPL. In the meantime, the Cricket pundits are making their guesses for franchises strategies.

So, here is the list of 5 capped (Indian/ International) players who might go unsold in IPL 2021 if a mega auction is conducted.

5 Capped Players who might go unsold if IPL 2021 Auctions are conducted:

1. Kedar Jadhav (CSK):

The Indian all-rounder is under fans scanner for not performing in recent times. Kedar Jadhav is in the news for all the bad reasons that can be possible. The CSK all-rounder played 8 games for Chennai and scored just 62 runs with a miserable average of 20.66. 

The all-rounder didn’t get a chance to bowl in IPL 2020. Jadhav might get released by CSK, as the management has already decided to change the core.

2. Varun Aaron (RR):

The 31 years old Indian bowler got just 3 games for Rajasthan Royals this season. Aaron went wicketless in those three games, with a high economy of 11.75.

The Rajasthan Bowler is not in a good form in recent times including domestic circuits. He might get unsold in IPL 2021 Auctions.

3. Andrew Tye (RR):

The Australian bowler found it difficult to perform in the 13th edition of IPL. Being surrounded by the excess of foreign players in the squad, it was strenuous to break into the final eleven. However, after given the chance to play, Tye could not perform to his level.

Rajasthan had expectations with the 2018 edition Purple Cap winner but it was a disappointing season for the Australian. Tye on his outing got one wicket by giving 50 runs with an economy of 12.50. 

Rajasthan Royals might think to release him, it will give them a spot to get one impactful player for the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.

4. Umesh Yadav (RCB):

In recent few years the stalwart Indian pacer did commendable work for the test side. The pacer, however, became the regular face for Indian Team in red-ball cricket. 

The 33 years old enjoyed success in the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Indian Premier League. But the 2020 edition did not go as planned for the RCB pacer. Umesh went wicketless this time with just 2 game appearances. 

Royal Challenger Bangalore might think of releasing him ahead of IPL 2021.

5. Piyush Chawla (CSK):

The Indian leg spinner was expected to fill the voids created by Harbhajan Singh after pulling out of IPL. The 31 years old spinner could not stand on the franchise’s expectations.

Chawla got the highest bid ( Indian Players) of 6.75 Crores rupees from CSK. In the 7 outings of the leg spinner, he managed to pick 6 wickets with an economy of 9.09. 

Chennai Super Kings might release him, as he is expensive and look for better options.
