The semifinal game was against England and we beat them too. The Indian Women had a good tournament overall with cumulative performances from all the different players. The campaign started with a victory over Pakistan. All in all, the campaign can be tagged as a great success. Here is an in-depth look at the same:

Indian Women in the Commonwealth Games Final:
The match between India and Australia was cut-throat. Both the teams displayed a high level of cricket. The top performers for India were Renuka Singh and Sneh Rana with the ball. But the boat of the Australian was rescued by senior players Beth Mooney and Meg Lanning. Lanning has been impressive in most of the games against the Indians. In the Indian batting innings, the top performers were Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues. Making a comeback to the national team Jemimah Rodrigues has had an exceptional tournament. She played well in the game against Barbados as well. With that being said and done, India has now settled for a silver medal.
Overall Great Performance by the Team:
Sourav Ganguly said, “It was their game.” This means that the Indians had the game in their hand for a very long time in the finals. In the past few years, we have seen this happens many times. The finals against England come to mind in the last to last ODI World Cup. But as a whole, this was a great performance by the Indian team.
The senior players such as Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Jemimah Rodrigues put their hands up and showed exceptional cricket when it mattered the most. Another key takeaway is that Pooja Vastrakar, the sensation from the last World Cup is still unfit to play. The lady “Hardik Pandya” needs to be fit and available as she has a lot to offer to Indian cricket.
