India’s T20I Schedule before T20 World Cup 2022, INDvsAUS, INDvsSA T20Is: With the exit from the ongoing fifteenth edition of the Asia Cup, team India will look to make final amends for its flaws in the T20Is as the clock begins to tick for the all-important T20 World Cup 2022. This edition’s T20 World Cup will be held Down Under, starting October 22.
Despite looking far from the best, team India won’t be too disappointed with their outing in the Asia Cup 2022. The batting wasn’t an issue at all even though India failed to finish games with flying shots. The Men in Blue lost two of its most crucial matches due to the death over bowling where they missed the services of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, who are death ball specialists.
Both the aforementioned bowlers are currently undergoing their rehabilitation program to get fit for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. As per the reports, both Bumrah and Harshal will be available for the World Cup considering the tournament is still a month away.
Team India won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2008 under then-skipper MS Dhoni. Since then the Men in Blue have struggled to win the T20 glory. However, this time, it will be the perfect setting for the Indians to prove their mettle once again in Australia.
Rohit Sharma and Co will have a couple of home T20I series in the leadup to the T20 World Cup 2022. Australia is scheduled to travel to India for a short three-match T20I series in September followed by a South Africa tour of India for as many T20I and ODI matches in September-October.
Notably, India will also take part in the two warm-up T20I games before their actual T20 World Cup opener match against Pakistan on 23rd October in Melbourne Cricket Club.
