IPL 2021: 3 International players who can set IPL 2021 Auction on Fire

IPL 2021: 3 International players who can set IPL 2021 Auction on Fire.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: All the eight existing franchise of Indian Premier League will be planning hard for the coming IPL auctions. While there is still one week’s time left for the auction, the franchises will make sure to complete all the permutations and combinations by 18th Februray.

The auction will be held in Chennai only following the second test game between India and England.

The franchises have made few big changes to their respective sides in the recent retention date. The important players for the franchise have been retained and the rest are released by the management.

As of now, the highest-paid cricket of IPL is Pat Cummins for which KKR spent whopping INR 15.5 Crores. In the article, we will take a look at 3 international stars who can equal or surpass Pat Cummins and bag the highest bid in IPL.

3 International players who can set IPL 2021 auction on fire:

David Malan:

The English batsman has been in tremendous form lately. The sensation of the T20Is who jumped over Babar Azam in mere 20 T20I games and claimed the number 1 spot in ICC T20I batsmen ranking will surely get a bid in IPL.

His stats in the shortest format shows that he loves to hit balls at ease. He even has as many as 6 T20 centuries under his name. Although, the player is getting through the lean patch of the form in the recent BBL but has that ability to bounce back.

All the franchise who have a balance of over 30 Crore or probably 25 Crores will surely run after him. We might see him going with KKR as his England captain would insist on the management.

Shakib Al Hasan:

Bangladesh’s all-rounder is back to the international cricket after completing the ban of two years. As per the reports, Shakib has registered for the IPL auction with a base price of INR 2 Crore.

In the recent series between Bangladesh and West Indies, he has not only bagged the player of the match but also received the player of the series award. He has alarmed all the watching franchises about his form lately.

The addition of the experienced into the side gives an edge to the side. He has both the abilities to bat and bowl at crucial stages.

Glenn Maxwell:

Even though the Australian all-rounder was not on his best of the form in IPL 2020, but we saw what he is capable of in India tour to Australia. Glenn Maxwell playing for Australia smashed Indian bowlers with the strike rate of over 190. He scored 194 and 78 in the ODI and the T20I series against India.

One of the main reason for his debacle in IPL 2020 was a constant change of the role which he was not used to of. Maxwell failed to impress his franchise and hence lost the contract ahead of IPL 2021.

But his ability to turn the game with both bat and ball looks unmatchable. His name will definitely force a couple of franchise to indulge in the bidding war.
