IPL 2021: Arjun Tendulkar becomes eligible to take part in IPL 2021 mini auctions.
Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian batting legend, becomes eligible to take part in the upcoming IPL 2021 mini-auctions. Arjun Tendulkar who is 21 years old made his domestic debut in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 against Haryana.
Playing for Mumbai in SMAT 2021 Tendulkar had an uneventful debut against Haryana. In his debut, he successfully picked one scalp while got run out with facing a single delivery after coming in as number 11 batsman.
Player’s Auction Agreement:
According to the statement released yesterday by the BCCI interim CEO about the Player’s Auction Agreement, any cricketer who is associated with the state cricket associations and has been featured in at least one senior domestic game is eligible to throw his name to the IPL 2021 auction pool. The game can be first-class game or a List A game both will be counted same.
As per the recent rules of the IPL auctions shared by the BCCI to the respective state associations, if Arjun Tendulkar is keen on playing IPL, then he will have to log-in to the online registration system and complete his application form. This application form will be supplemented with other formalities from state associations.
BCCI’s interim CEO Hemang Amin made it very clear to all the players that the BCCI will not deal with any dealer or player-manager, they will only cooperate with the state associations. Any kind of failure and mistake in the Player’s Auction Agreement will lead to player’s name withdrawal from the Auction pool.
Arjun Tendulkar has been a known name in the most successful IPL franchise as a net bowler as his father Sachin Tendulkar served the franchise as the mentor. Tendulkar has also featured in many T20 leagues and has been part of U19 India team.
IPL 2021 Mini-Auctions Dates:
While the time getting closer to February, the fans are becoming more curious to know the actual date of the Auctions to see their favourite players. BCCI has earlier asked all the franchise to do all the player retention work by January 20th. All the franchises will provide BCCI with the complete list of released players by 20th January.
The mini-auctions will be held soon after all the retention work is done by the franchises. The probable date for the IPL 2021 mini-auctions will be somewhere in the second week of February. 16th February is the expected date as informed by the close sources to the BCCI.
