IPL 2021: Best Predicted Playing 11 of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Best Predicted Playing 11 of Kolkata Knight Riders: The two times title winners, KKR had an average outing last time at UAE. KKR ended in 5th position with seven wins and equal number of losses. The franchise had the joint-least purse value (INR 10.75 Crores) in the recent IPL 2021 auction but they managed to get 8 players with that money.

Bangladesh’s all rounder Shakib al Hasan (INR 3.2 Crores) and spinner Harbhajan Singh (INR 2 Crores) were their highlight picks.

The Shahrukh Khan owned franchise has won the IPL title two times in 2012 and 2014 under Gautam Gambhir. Since then the team has failed to get closer to the IPL title.

In this article, we will take a look at the best possible predicted playing 11 of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the fourteenth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Best Predicted Playing 11 of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2021:

Top Order:

Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi.

Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana to be the openers of the side. Last time, KKR struggled to get the perfect balance in the side as Sunil Narine failed to get runs in the opening slot. Gill has been a tremendous player for KKR. he was the highest run scorer for KKR last season. He amassed 440 runs in 14 games.

Nitish Rana to come alongside Gill in the opening slot. He has been a strong cricketer for KKR and amassed 352 runs last time at UAE. His scoring rate is 138 plus which makes him even stronger.

Rahul Tripathi held the number 3 position for KKR in IPL 2020 where he scored 230 runs in 11 games. He also scored a half-century and will be a good option at number three.

Middle Order:

Rinku Singh, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik.

The middle order of the side will be Rinku SIngh, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik.

Rinku Singh will be a much better option for number 4 among many overseas stars. He is with the side for a long time now and it will be the high time when they must give him a chance in the playing 11.

Eoin Morgan, the skipper of the side will be best suited at number 5. The left-handed batsman has the ability to accelerate at times and play sensible knocks at the required situations.

Dinesh Karthik, the wicketkeeper of the side at number 6. Karthik is filled with quick batting ability and striking the ball easily. Also, he can switch the positions with Eoin Morgan when the situation arrives.

All rounders:

Shakib Al Hasan, and Andre Russell.

When talking about the all rounders, KKR has the best players in their side. Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell and Pat Cummins will constitute the all rounder for the team.

Shakib Al Hasan is brought by the franchise in the recent IPL auction. Shakib has been in good form lately after he came back from a ban. He was also the Man of the Series in the recent series against West Indies.

Andre Russell will be a good choice at number eight for KKR. They might also opt for Sunil Narine in this place but Russell has that ability to turn the tables. With his daunting strike rate of over 180, Russell can do power hitting easily at death overs and lift the total.

Bowlers:

Pat Cummins, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Prasidh Krishna.

Pat Cummins, to be at number nine. Cummins is the regular face in Australia’s limited over lineup and can provide quick breakthroughs. IPL 2020 didn’t go well for the Aussie pacer but he will certainly be the part of playing 11 in the upcoming season.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti will be the second pacer for KKR. The franchise does not have a huge pace lineup so Nagarkoti will be a good option.

Prasidh Krishna will complete the playing 11. He played 4 games last season and picked 4 scalps. As mentioned earlier, KKR does not comprise of huge bench strength in pace, Prasidh Krishna might also come.
