IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings likely to release 7-8 senior players ahead of IPL 2021.
IPL 2021: With the dates of IPL mini-auctions coming close, all the franchises will be gearing up to grab some key talents and foreign players. The team that is in high need of revamping in the upcoming season of IPL i.e., Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced some series backlash from the fans for their poor performance. CSK is them that has qualified every time for the playoffs except the previous season.
The management of Chennai had already confessed about the restructuring of the team. Most of the senior player in CSK camp is on the wrong side of the 30s.
Chennai Super Kings will be one of the teams that will probably bid for every player. CSK has a purse value of 15 lacs left with them and BCCI has confirmed that the value will not increase. But bidding needs more money.
The only way CSK can revamp is by releasing the less important players. That will open the doors to occupy some serious talents for the future.
According to the reports from CSK officials, they have already made their mind to release Kedar Jadhav due to his poor form in IPL 2020. Releasing Kedar Jadhav will free up 7.8 crores purse value for CSK.
“Jadhav was not in best of form in IPL 2020. He was also struggling with his fitness. CSK will move on from Jadhav in IPL 2021, everyone in the team management feels that it will be prudent to take this hard call and invest in the future”, said the source close to CSK management.
But the recent development suggests that at least 7-8 senior players from CSK will be released and CSK will try to claim young talents.
