IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) training camps, Dates and Venues revealed.
CSK training camp: The Indian T20 League is just a few weeks away from here but BCCI is still mulling around the venues and dates of the tournament. The second wave of coronavirus made things more difficult for the governing bodies as the country is rapidly seeing the rise in the cases day by day.
However, in the meantime, CSK management have decided to conduct the Chennai Super Kings camps. According to InsideSport CSK will be organising the camps from March 11th in Chennai. Interestingly, skipper MS Dhoni will attend the camps from the very first day.
Senior CSK official in talks with InsideSports revealed that the decision is taken after the consultation of Skipper MS Dhoni and they are expecting all the players will attend the camps in batches.
“Yes, we are expecting all players to start coming in batches. Captain MS Dhoni will be available and attending the camp from day one. Players availability should not be an issue. We are very hopeful that the camp will successfully begin and we will strictly follow the same bio-bubble protocol and no additional measures are required to be taken at this stage. We have put in place stringent health and safety protocols for the camp and all the participants will follow mandatory testing,’ the top official confirmed to Inside Sport.
Last year, CSK players were affected by the covid-19 virus and it was the major concern for the franchise as well as for BCCI. Speaking on that, CSK official told that last year they have got their lessons. We hope nothing of that sort take place this time. It is not for us but for all the franchises. The officials opined that they don’t see any strong reasons for the extra precautions as they believe in their contingency and logistical plans.
