Vivo IPL 2021 Complete Award List: With the experienced Chennai Super Kings (CSK) exposing Kolkata’s sudden debacle once again on the biggest stage, the three-time champions convincingly managed to increase its IPL win tally to four. MS Dhoni and Co had the final laugh as they clinched the Vivo IPL 2021 trophy along with the cash reward.

At the end of the tournament, the spotlight turned to admire and celebrate the performances of the players who showed great determination and sublime efforts to make the tournament exciting and thrilling.

Vivo IPL 2021 Winner:

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), of course, is the winner of the Vivo IPL 2021, so the elusive trophy along with the massive cheque goes to them. A cheque of INR 20 Crores was received by the franchise for winning the IPL 2021.

Vivo IPL 2021 Runner-Up: 

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) didn’t quite manage to capitalise on the starts provided by the two openers and lost the game which was well inside their grip. In the end, they were on the losing side. KKR received a cheque of INR 12.5 Crores.

Emerging Player of the Season:

The flamboyant Ruturaj Gaikwad of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the Emerging Player Award as he mustered 635 runs from 17 matches. The young talented batsman scored almost 30 per cent of runs for CSK in the season.

Orange Cap:

After scoring 635 runs from 17 matches, there was no looking back for Ruturaj Gaikwad as he also won the Vivo IPL 2021 Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the season. The batsman scored four half-centuries and a century during season fourteen of the Vivo IPL.

An award and cheque of INR 10 Lakhs were presented to the CSK batsman for his awe-inspiring display of batting.

Purple Cap:

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Harshal Patel (Purple Patel) picked up the most wickets in the season and won Vivo IPL 2021 Purple Cap. The uncapped Indian speedster scalped as many as 32 wickets from 15 matches. He even equalled Dwayne Bravo’s record of the highest number of wickets taken in a season. Patel received a trophy and prize money of INR 10 Lakhs for his outstanding bowling abilities.

Fair play award of the season – Rajasthan Royals

Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the Fair Play Award of the season as they upheld the spirit of cricket, respected the opposition, Umpires and the laws of cricket.

The award points for fair play are given by the umpires at the end of each match after seeing the team’s display of good spirit. On average RR fetched 10.1 points to pip out CSK from the award.

For his sensational diving catch in match 21 of the Vivo IPL 2021 in Ahmedabad against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings (PBKS) Ravi Bishnoi won the Vivo Perfect catch of the match.

Safari Super Striker of the season – Shimron Hetmyer (DC)

Delhi Capitals (DC) southpaw Shimron Hetmyer was rewarded as the Super Striker of the season. The left-handed batsman scored 242 runs from 15 matches with an exploding strike rate of 168.05.

Dream11 Game Changer of the season – Harshal Patel

RCB pacer Harshal Patel also won the Dream11 game changer of the season award. The speedster changed wave of several close matches with his brilliant bowling prowess and hence won game changer award.

Let’s Crack It Sixes – KL Rahul

Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper KL Rahul whacked sixes more than any other cricketer and won the Let’s Crack It Sixes award in the Vivo IPL 2021. The swashbuckling batsman tonked 30 sixes, seven more than the second player in the list to convincingly win the award.

Power player of the season – Venkatesh Iyer (KKR)

KKR’s biggest find of the Vivo IPL 2021, Venkatesh Iyer won three Power Player of the Match award to finally win the Power Player of the Season award. He scored 370 runs from 10 matches and most of his runs came in the power play overs.

Most Valuable Asset of the season – Harshal Patel

Bangalore pacer Harshal Patel won another award in his successful IPL season. Patel took his third award of the season as he was also adjudged as the Most Valuable Asset of the Season. Interestingly, the pacer is the first individual to win the MVP award with zero international experience.
